❤️ Friends Helping Friends — A Call for Community Support ❤️
Hi, everyone!

Our friend Amy has a homeless ministry where she and her family go out into the community to provide food, winter essentials, and other necessities to those in need. They have such big hearts for helping others and making a difference in the lives of people who are struggling.

Unfortunately, in April, Amy’s home flooded, and her family spent the past several months living in a hotel. They have finally been able to return home, and while they are getting settled again, Amy is ready to get her ministry back up and running!

As winter approaches, she is in need of items to help those she serves. If you, your group, or your organization would be willing to help in any way, please reach out to me. I can connect you with Amy directly to find out what is needed.

Amy and her family are in the Pickens County area, and they have been such a blessing to others. They also stepped up and helped us tremendously at our last two Doolin Dalton Awareness Rides, and we would love the opportunity to return that kindness and support their mission.

Sometimes the people who spend their time helping others need a helping hand themselves. ❤️

❤️ Friends Along the Way — More Than a Ride

Today, we enjoyed fellowship, riding, and coffee with fellow bikers at our monthly Chrome and Coffee get-together. What started as a day of bikes, coffee, and catching up turned into a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

While we were having lunch, an elderly lady approached our table and asked if the bikes outside belonged to us. She began sharing memories of riding a trike home from Cashiers with her husband and telling us about their love for Tennessee Walker horses. It was such a sweet, unexpected conversation with someone who shared a little piece of her life with us.

As I sat there, I couldn't help but think, this is exactly why our mission is moving in a new direction — from the Doolin Dalton Awareness Ride to Friends Along the Way. ❤️

Over the past five years, Dalton's ride has brought so many incredible people into our lives. I could start naming names, but I know I would leave someone out because there are simply too many to count. These friendships have become so much more than people we see once a year. They have become a part of our lives, our memories, and our story.

And yes, we even had a discussion about being a bunch of misfits while we ate lunch! 😂 But it got me thinking: when you bring a bunch of misfits together with a common purpose, a little determination, and a whole lot of heart, there is no telling what you can accomplish.

Maybe that's what this next chapter is all about. Less focus on the ride itself and more focus on the people, the friendships, the stories, and the memories we continue to make along the way.

Here's to the misfits, the unexpected conversations, the friendships that feel like family, and the beautiful people we meet along the way.

The ride may be changing, but the reason we gather never will.

A New Chapter, With Dalton Always in Our Hearts ❤️

After much thought, prayer, and many conversations, Eric and I have decided that it is time to move the Doolin Dalton Awareness Ride in a different direction.

This decision has not come easily. For the past five years, this ride has been so much more than an event to us. It has been a way to honor Dalton’s life, share his story, raise awareness for motorcycle safety, and bring people together for causes that mean so much to our hearts.

We are incredibly thankful for every friend, family member, rider, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who has stood beside us throughout this journey.

Because of you, we have been blessed beyond measure. We have made friendships that will last a lifetime, shared memories we will forever cherish, and witnessed the kindness and generosity of people who have become like family to us.

We will never be able to fully express how much your love and support have meant to us over these past five years.

Although we have decided to step away from hosting the annual awareness ride, we will never stop celebrating Dalton’s life or sharing his story.

Each year, we plan to continue honoring him through a "Friends Along The Way" gathering , where we will celebrate his life, continue spreading motorcycle awareness, and choose one organization to support by providing either a monetary gift or items from their wish list.

We still want to see everyone riding, laughing, sharing stories, and enjoying one another’s company. However, the event will be a little different. There will be no organized group route. Instead, it will be a time to come together in fellowship, enjoy the day, celebrate Dalton, and make more memories with the people who have become such an important part of our lives.

As we move into this new chapter, we want everyone to understand that this gathering will never be about numbers, how many bikes show up, or how big the event becomes. What matters most to us is friendship, fellowship, and the relationships we have built along the way. It is about coming together, sharing stories, laughing, remembering Dalton, and spending time with the people who have become family to us.

Whether a handful of friends join us or a larger crowd gathers, what matters is the love we share and the memories we continue to make.

At the end of the day, it has never been about how many people we can bring together, but about the people who are there and the bond we share. ❤️

Eric and I have reached a point in our lives where we feel it is time to slow down a little, enjoy the years ahead, and make room for some new adventures. We want to travel, explore new places, spend more time with our family, enjoy our little roadside stand, and continue telling Dalton’s story wherever the road takes us. We also know that we still have a road trip to complete in Dalton’s honor, and that is something we are determined to do.

We want to have the freedom to ride, discover new places, and support other organizations, awareness efforts, and rides that are near and dear to our hearts. This change does not mean our passion has faded or that Dalton’s legacy means any less to us. If anything, it gives us a new opportunity to carry his memory forward in different ways.

Sometimes, honoring someone we love means learning when to close one chapter and open another. Our ride has been a beautiful chapter in our lives, and we will forever be grateful for every person who helped make it what it was.

Dalton will always be a part of our journey. His story will continue, his memory will live on, and motorcycle awareness will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We love each and every one of you more than words can say. Thank you for walking beside us, supporting us, praying for us, and helping us keep Dalton’s memory alive.

You have been a blessing to our family, and we hope you know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the first "Friends Along The Way" gathering in March or April of 2027! I will share more details as we get closer, with additional information coming after the first of the year.

Until then, keep the rubber side down, watch out for one another, and never take a single mile or moment with the people you love for granted.

🎣🇺🇸 MEET GOOD PEOPLE DOING GREAT THINGS! 🇺🇸🏍️

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Josh Stamey, a pretty cool guy who shares an interest in motorcycles and has a heart for giving back to others.

Josh started a nonprofit called Fishing 4 Heroes, and I think it's pretty awesome when someone takes their passion and turns it into something meaningful for others. ❤️

It's always refreshing to meet people who believe in serving their communities, honoring our heroes, and making a difference in the lives of others.

Sometimes the best part of a day is the unexpected people you meet and the good things you learn about them. Keep doing great things, Josh, and thank you for giving back to those who have given so much! 🎣❤️🇺🇸
