Waldoboro Community Yard Sale

This is the last one of the 2024 -- several are happening both Saturday and Sunday, many are rain or shine -- please go check them out! This is completely updated as of this morning. Any changes today will only be noted on the digital map at https://tinyurl.com/waldoboro

Go have some fun, get some food, get some bargains, and support local causes.

Please note that East Forty is not participating this time despite being on the map below, but I have seen a few additional sales around town that are not on the map -- so look around, see what you find.

Community Yard Sale Weekend Sept. 21-22

Online map is at https://tinyurl.com/waldoboro and printed maps are at the Waldoboro Public Library and Waldoboro Town Office during their regular houses, and will be available at Good Things and the Waldoborough Historical Society on Saturday during the sales.

* 26 Friendship Street was added after printed maps were made, and near other sales so please stop by!

Please look out for Waldoboro Half Marathon runners from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. downtown along Old Route One/Main/W.Main.

If you are already registered, you can change your listing by using the form of messaging this account.

Please be creative. Choose Saturday, Sunday or both. Set your own hours. Work with neighbors to have a bunch together. Take some space at the Waldoboro Historical Society for a small donation to their capital campaign. Check with Pooley Realty for space. Set up a bake sale, fundraiser, or whatever for your group.

The next Waldoboro Community Yard Sale is on July 20-21.

Printed maps will be available at the Waldoboro Town Office and The Waldoborough Historical after noon on the 15th, and at the Waldoboro Public Library after 3:15. I will take some to Good Things on Thursday. To get them on Saturday, stop by the museum or Good Things.

For those who would like to set up and sell in prime locations, contact Bill Maxwell about using the Waldoborough Historical Society or Jessica Pooley about using the parking lot at William Raveis Realty on the corner of Main and Route One. The realty office will not be open, but their parking area is available for sellers to use. For both locations, you need to bring your own table.

Waldoboro Community Yard Sale
Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21

Registration is free and the easiest way is to do it online: https://tinyurl.com/2024WCYS or at the Town Office.

The deadline to be on printed map is July 6, and the deadline for the Google Map is July 18.

If you do not have space, contact the Waldoborough Historical Society or Jessica Pooley: Pooley Realty Group to see if they have space available. If more businesses jump in, we will let you know.

Individuals: if you live outside the center of the village, consider asking your neighbors to join in having a hard sale that more people are drawn your way.

Businesses: this is a great opportunity to take advantage of extra traffic in town and host some special activity at your shop – give a coupon, have a sale, offer a raffle or door prize.

While we tried not to overlap with Friendship Day, it appears that we have. This may be good for those of you on Friendship Road, or you can just do Sunday if you want to enjoy the festivities there or for Union’s 250th. It is impossible to have an event during our short summers without overlapping somewhere.

Thank you to everyone who participated in today's yard sales. There are plenty on Sunday as well. Some feedback today was that the dots on the printed map and the roads in the center of town are too small. Does anyone else have constructive criticism like that? We're considering an inset to make it easier for people to read the in-town locations.
