“What Happens When Men Show Up”

Something powerful happens…
when a young man is surrounded by the right men.

He starts to open up.
He starts to believe.
He starts to grow.

Not because everything changed overnight—
but because someone stayed.

Research shows consistent mentorship is one of the strongest predictors of resilience and long-term success in young men.

This is what happens when presence becomes consistent.
This is what we’re building.

The Pleasure Escape: A RIGS Mini Series (PART 1)

He can't let it go…
even when he said he would.

Late nights.
Phone in hand.
Lights off.

Just for a moment—
that’s what he tells himself.

But it keeps pulling him back.
Because it was never about it…
it was about numbing the pain he feels underneath.

Research shows boys without consistent guidance are more likely to develop addictive coping patterns.

What he runs to… is running him.
Freedom starts somewhere real.

“The Cost of Doing Nothing”

When no one steps in…
something else does.

The world fills the gap.

Influence comes from somewhere.
Direction comes from somewhere.

The question is—
is it leading him forward… or pulling him back?

Research shows father absence is linked to higher rates of school dropout, substance use, and incarceration.

This isn’t accidental.

It’s predictable.
And it’s preventable.

Comparison: A RIGS Mini Series (PART 1)

He watches other boys with their fathers…
and learns to stay quiet about it.

The laughs.
The conversations.
The moments he never had.

He pretends it doesn’t affect him.
But something shifts inside.

A question he never says out loud—
Was I not worth it enough?

Research shows father absence is linked to lower self-worth and increased comparison in boys.

You don’t have to walk alone.
Presence changes the story.

“What One Man Can Change”

It doesn’t take a crowd…
to change a life.

Sometimes it’s just one man.
One voice.
One presence.
One person who shows up—consistently.

Research shows that the presence of even one stable adult significantly improves outcomes for at-risk youth.

That’s the difference.
Not perfection.
Presence.

That’s what we’re building at RIGS.

Most custody outcomes are decided before a judge is ever involved. Around 91% of cases are settled outside of court, often resulting in mothers having primary custody—not necessarily because fathers lose, but because many don’t pursue it. Research shows fathers actively seek sole or primary custody in less than 4%–8% of cases, yet when they do engage—especially with legal representation—the outcomes shift significantly, with many securing joint or even sole custody. Today, custodial fathers still represent a small percentage (under 8%), compared to roughly 25% of mothers with physical custody, highlighting that the gap may be driven as much by participation and decisions as by the system itself.

Anger: A RIGS Mini Series (PART 1)

He carries anger he doesn’t understand.
It builds quietly.
Then spills out.

In words.
In actions.
In silence.

They call him the problem.
But they never ask what he’s carrying inside.

Research shows father absence is linked to higher rates of aggression and behavioral struggles in boys.

Past the anger… there’s a story.
And being seen, rewrites it.

“The Weight Moms Carry”

Single moms are carrying more than people realize.

Provider.
Protector.
Encourager.
Disciplinarian.

Trying to raise a young man…
while filling a role that was never meant to be carried alone.

Research shows children do best when both nurturing and masculine guidance are present in their development.

This isn’t about replacing moms.
It’s about supporting them.

Because no mom should have to do this alone.

The Empty Chair: A RIGS Mini Series (PART 1)

There in the stands…
at the bleachers…
at the dinner table…
Is a seat that never gets filled.

Games.
Graduations.
Moments that were supposed to matter.
He stopped expecting his father to show up.

But he still notices.
Because absence… has a voice.

Research shows nearly 1 in 4 children grow up without a father in the home.

But presence can change everything.
Consistency builds men.

“The Men Who Show Up”

Not every man in the room came to lead.

Some came tired.
Some came carrying things they’ve never said out loud.
Some came just to sit… and listen.

But they came back.
Week after week.
Because this is a place where men don’t disappear.

They don’t fade.
They don’t walk out.
They stay.

And for a young man who’s only known absence…
that changes everything.

“The Statistic Has a Face”

There’s a number people hear all the time…
but rarely stop to feel.

1 in 4.

That’s how many children are growing up without a father in the home.

But this isn’t just a statistic.

It’s a boy sitting in silence…
trying to figure out who he’s supposed to be without someone showing him.

Research shows children from father-absent homes are at higher risk for emotional and behavioral struggles.

This is bigger than a number.

This is a generation.
And it’s exactly why we built The RIGS Project.
