A member of the Heritage High School marching band, he was a leader among his peers while also getting the most out of life. He was a master of the Rubik's Cube, able to solve it at world record pace of 10 seconds, with one hand while eating a slice of pizza. Tragically, Braden was killed in a car accident in September of 2014. This scholarship was endowed to keep his memory alive for generations

to come by providing a $500 annual scholarship ($2,000 over four years) for a Heritage High School band senior. The big difference with this scholarship is that it is not chosen by adults. The other band members will choose the winner and it will be awarded every spring during graduation exercises.
