Meet Our Providers - Sameer Sethi, MD, is an Emergency Medicine attending physician and Wilderness Medicine fellow at the University of Vermont as well as an Assistant Professor at the Larner College of Medicine. He grew up in Toronto, Canada, and discovered his love for the outdoors over time while moving around the world for school. He enjoys the highs (mountaineering) and lows (scuba diving) equally and jumps at the opportunity to learn any new skill that involves being outside. He has worked as an expedition physician for the Juneau Icefield Research Program in Alaska, a race physician for the Grand to Grand Ultra in Arizona/Utah, a high altitude physician on Mount Aconcagua in Argentina, and volunteers as a wilderness medicine instructor with Wild Med Adventures.

Meet Our Providers - Elizabeth “Betsy” Russell, MS, PA-C

Graduate Degree: MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University 2004

Licensed in MA and VT as a Physician Assistant

Betsy’s career has been equally divided between practicing Emergency Medicine and Oncology. Betsy is currently working full-time in an emergency clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. In free time, Betsy enjoys boating, hiking and skiing with the family, volunteering at our local hospital with therapy dog Lola, and reading if she can find a quiet moment!

Meet our Providers - Dr. Aaron Gardiner is an orthopedic surgeon at Newton Wellesley Orthopedic Associates and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. He completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, medical school at the University of California, San Diego, and his orthopedic surgery residency at the Tufts Affiliated Hospitals Orthopedic Residency Program. After residency he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at New England Baptist Hospital.

Aaron grew up in California and first learned to ski in the Lake Tahoe area before moving to the east coast when he began coming to Sugarbush in the mid 90’s. He has been volunteering at the Three Peaks Medical Clinic since the 2023-24 season. A weekday resident of Wellesley, MA, he spends his winter weekend days at Sugarbush with his wife and two daughters.
