We are excited to announce Mike Wendt as our "Everyday Hero" winner for June! He will be receiving a free pint of delicious gelato from Dolce at the Strand and a free dirty soda from The Sugar Social each week of this month, and will be featured on Wadsworth Community Radio 97.1 FM & On the Web!

Mike is an award-winning director, producer, and location manager/scout who currently serves as Production Coordinator for the Greater Cleveland Film Commission. His film credits include Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Fate of the Furious, My Friend Dahmer, White Boy Rick, and Shelby Oaks.
His first feature-length documentary, The End of the World as We Knew It, was selected for the 33rd Cleveland International Film Festival, while his short film Goodbye, Ohio screened at numerous film festivals. He is currently in post-production on his second feature-length documentary, Robert Banks: We'll Talk About That Later.

In addition to his filmmaking work, Mike serves on the board of directors of The Nightlight Cinema and Building Heights, a nonprofit organization that teaches filmmaking to middle school students.
Mike plays a key role in bringing major motion picture productions to Northeast Ohio, working closely with producers and directors to showcase the region's opportunities and resources. His efforts help attract economic investment, create jobs, and expand opportunities for local filmmakers and film industry professionals.
