To watch Wadsworth Grizzlies football at Hilliard Davidson on Friday, August 28 at 7pm, click the link below. There is a $10 fee to watch the game. The pay per view fee is being charged by the Hilliard Davidson school district. The game will be live streamed on THEIR online platform. The cost to watch and production of the live stream of the game has no affiliation with WCTV. **NOT ONE PENNY OF THIS FEE GOES TO WCTV**

An update from WCTV on Wadsworth Grizzlies Football sports coverage:

Although a public statement has been issued regarding “TV” coverage of Wadsworth Grizzlies football, THE GAMES WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE TO WATCH. They just won’t be of the highest production quality that the community is accustomed to receiving from WCTV.

🏈 HOME games will be produced by Wadsworth City Schools and broadcast live via their Hudl Fan page

That live feed of the HOME games will also be fed through to WCTV’s educational access channel that is available on CityLink channel 16, which also streams online to WatchWCTV.com at this link - https://my.viebit.com/livestream?hash=66728f00-dd12-48ce-9961-a3e25465447c

🏈 AWAY games should be produced by the away game opponents on various platforms/social media (YouTube, Hudl, NFHS Network, Facebook, etc.) IF they choose to do so. Usually they are live, but there are no guarantees, and some of them MAY require a fee to watch. AWAY games will NOT be live on any of WCTV’s platforms.

We know many Wadsworth residents have questions about why WCTV will not be able to continue its longstanding coverage of WHS Grizzly Football.

The immediate issue is that WCTV does not have enough staff or available staff hours to complete all of the work required to produce the games. Funding alone cannot replace the trained people needed to make these broadcasts happen.

WCTV is currently operating with one full-time employee and very limited part-time support, which is not enough to manage the extensive work required to produce and broadcast the games while maintaining the station’s other programming responsibilities.
