🏷️ & 🗑️ Weekend!

🏷️ AVNA yard sales run Thursday, October 16, through Saturday, October 18.

🗑️ Dumpsters will be at the Alta Vista Park on Saturday, October 18, from 8 A.M. to noon. Bring your trash and brush, but no hazardous materials, please!

What does your neighborhood do for you?

This week, board members with the Alta Vista Neighborhood Association attended the City Council meeting to address the re-zoning of a property within our neighborhood. A developer purchased land, with the intent to construct a convenience store, and applied to re-zone the parcel from residential zoning to commercial.

The parcel backs up to one of our resident’s land. The resident put up a community-wide fight, and when AVNA learned of this re-zoning, we stepped in to request more time and information so we can ensure the needs of our community are being met.

City Council members voted to reject the application for re-zoning, which allows the AVNA board more time to work with the developers of this land. We hope the time and collaboration will bring something great to our area, for all residents to enjoy!
