The Longhorn Council's Chisholm Trail District is located at the southernmost area of the Council's map. Cities included in the district are Temple, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and Hearne. The Chisholm Trail District also covers several counties such as Bell County, Falls County, Milam County, Robertson County, Limestone, and Leon County. Cub Scouts - If you are in first grade through fifth grade—o
r you're 7 to 10 years old—then Cub Scouting is for you. This is the first and the biggest of the three Scouting programs (Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, and Venturing) from the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts BSA - Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to all youth who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Venturing [Coed] - Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and are under 21 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Sea Scouting - Sea Scouting is a program for boys and girls from 13–21 years of age designed to teach leadership and responsibility through a boating program. The Sea Scouts started in 1912, and while it has changed over the years, it continues to uphold the traditions of the sea under the auspices of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Venturing Program. Sea Scouting includes a rigorous advancement program that leads our youth through the skills necessary to be a very competent sailor and mature leader. In fact, recipients of the Quartermaster Award, the Sea Scout's highest rank, can qualify for a higher entry enlisted rank and pay scale if they later join the U.S.
