Come visit Good Neighbor at the Vista Strawberry Festival ₊˚⊹ ᰔ˙ ✩🍓⋆。˚꩜

We’ll be set up in front of Milk Organics on Broadway all day from 8AM–6PM with a few special things we’ve been excited to put together for the community.

This year we’ll be hosting:
a community trinket trade
our candy bag fundraiser
surprise golden ticket prizes
and more little moments of connection throughout the day

Our trinket trade is open to everyone!!!
Bring a small pocket-sized treasure to exchange with someone else ~ seashells, crystals, charms, tiny handmade objects, stickers, mini toys, found treasures, or anything small and special that deserves a second life. We love the idea of strangers leaving with tiny reminders of one another.

We’ll also be selling fundraising candy bags to support future Good Neighbor events and projects. Even sweeter: 1 in 5 bags contains a prize ticket 🎟️

Golden ticket prizes include:
Games from The Op Games
Good Neighbor tote bags
Craft supplies from OOLY

Thank you for continuing to support our small community nonprofit and the events we’re building together. We can’t wait to spend the day with you 🍓

We’re excited to share that Good Neighbor will again be part of this year’s Vista Strawberry Festival on Sunday, May 24 from 8AM–6PM!

We’ll be hosting a booth filled with small community-centered fun, including a trinket trade, candy bag fundraiser, and a few more sweet things we’re still putting together behind the scenes. We’re really looking forward to spending the day with our community, meeting new neighbors, and celebrating one of Vista’s most beloved traditions.

Because we’ll be focusing our energy on preparing for the festival, our MONTHLY CRAFT NIGHT WILL BE CANCELLED FOR MAY. Thank you for understanding and supporting our tiny team while we pour our hearts into this event.

More details about our booth, activities, and what we’ll be bringing will be shared soon 🍓✨

We hope to see you there!

🌎🚀 April’s Craft Night was inspired by Earth Day and the Artemis II journey around the moon.

Recycled book paper, space-themed airbrush art, and a wide range of creative projects filled the room. We began our community collage while everyone found their own creative rhythm.

Different styles, different ideas, but a shared, calm energy throughout.

We’re grateful for nights like this, and for our community who keeps making them what they are.

As always, a BIG thank you to for sharing their space with us each month.

Yesterday we shared what guides our work: connection, thoughtfulness, and being a Good Neighbor. Later this week, we get to put those values into practice in a simple, heartfelt way.
ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭🏹 ˚.⁺⊹💌

One of our community members (s/o !) came to us with the idea to make Valentine’s cards for local seniors, and we’re so grateful she did. Our elders hold so much history, tenderness, and wisdom, and this is a small way to let them know they are seen and remembered. She’ll be delivering the cards to a nearby senior center, and our hope is to create at least 60 handmade Valentines filled with warmth and care.

Join us for a cozy evening of card making. Supplies will be provided, extras are welcome, and all that’s really needed is a little time and an open heart.

We want to take a moment to speak clearly and with care about what guides our work at Good Neighbor. 💌

The fear and uncertainty many people carry today did not begin in this moment, but stretch across time and history. What we do is shaped by our values and beliefs: that every person and every child carries inherent worth and rights, and deserves safety and dignity in the place they call home. When harm is happening in neighborhoods close to us and across the country, it reaches us here. It reaches us because our care and responsibility extend to all of our neighbors.

Immigrants are not strangers to our communities; they are the backbone of them. They are artists, workers, organizers, teachers, parents, neighbors, and friends. Their cultures, stories, and labor enrich our neighborhoods in ways that cannot be measured by economics, and they are deeply woven into the life and care of the places we share.

We may not be able to control the forces shaping this moment, but we can be intentional about how we show up within it. Good Neighbor will continue building spaces grounded in connection and community. Places where people can gather, create, repair, learn from one another, and feel safe without judgement. Not as an answer to everything, but as a way to practice love together, and to carry forward the kinds of care that have sustained communities through uncertainty, hardship, and change, again and again.
