For Anndee, survivorship means moving forward, embracing new experiences, and living life fully.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago, Anndee underwent a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. When her cancer returned late last year, she once again faced difficult decisions and chose to undergo a double mastectomy.
Through the challenges of treatment, surgery, and recovery, one thing has always helped her feel like herself again: movement.
"Movement makes me feel better. And it's positive."
After surgery left her unable to fully move her arms for weeks, Be Well helped Anndee safely rebuild strength and mobility.
And along the way, she found something more โ a community of people who understand.
Cancer has changed the way Anndee looks at life. Like many survivors, the possibility of recurrence is always in the back of her mind. But instead of letting uncertainty hold her back, it has reminded her to embrace the life she has right now.
"No more waiting for retirement or enough money. If life is finite, I want to enjoy all my dreams NOW."
As part of our Voices of Survivorship campaign, we are honored to share Anndee's story of resilience, movement, and living fully.
