California Youth Council

California Youth Council Training adults on how to work with young people effectively. Youth development is not only discussed in C*C meetings, it is practiced!

Providing a link between local Youth Councils and other community programs with state-wide initiatives around alcohol, to***co, and other drugs, traffic safety, and violence issues. The California Youth Council (C*C) is a project of the California Friday Night Live Partnership and is funded through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS). The C*C is a state-wide council of young

people committed to raising awareness on youth issues through:

Providing a link between local Youth Councils and other community programs with state-wide initiatives around alcohol, to***co and other drugs, traffic safety, and violence issues. The California Youth Council views young people as being competent and capable citizens who have an interest in their community. High school age youth from all parts of California, with different opinions and experiences make up the C*C. The common thread that holds this diverse group together: all are committed to making positive change happen in their communities.
