Our booth at Earth Day Fairfax 2026 at Lake Fairfax, Reston. Tree Steward Jan Kamide, with Tree Steward Liz Train on the left, is talking about our mission to educate people about trees. We had LOTS of visitors. Interview by Channel 9.
You are seeing our children's activity, "The Mystery Leaf Game." You choose your favorite colored crayon, rub the paper on the clipboard, match the leaf to one on the picture board, and learn about the tree! Lots of fun for kids and even some adults. And, you take home a leaf picture.

This decision of the City Council, in January 2026, to cancel the project was a major victory for the trees and the environment. Katy is well-deserving of this honor, and we are proud that she is a Fairfax Tree Steward!
