Not every symptom looks the way you expect.

Often, when searching certain skin condition symptoms, the results only show lighter skin tones. While many common health symptoms can show up differently depending on your skin tone.
It’s important to know your skin! Trust what you’re noticing and see a provider if something feels off.

Today is World Hepatitis Day.

❓ What is hepatitis? It's an inflammation of the liver caused by a virus.
❓ How do I know I have it? Ask your doctor for a blood test! Normal blood tests don't usually test for it; make sure to ask.
❓ How can I protect myself? Vaccines are the best way to protect yourself from hepatitis A and B
❓ How does it spread? Hep. A can spread through eating or drinking something with the virus in it, while Hep. B and C can spread by direct contact, including s*x. You can also spread them by sharing bodily fluids or needles with infected blood.
❗ Hep. B and C can put you at risk for liver cancer.

Drowning claims the lives of more than 300,000 people globally, most of them being children.

July 25th is annually observed as World Drowning Prevention Day to raise awareness over the global public health crisis of drowning.

You never know what someone else is carrying just by looking at them.

Some may be dealing with little sleep and long shifts, while others may just be trying to stay present and in the moment. Grief, depression, or just a long day.

We never see what's behind someone's day. That's why small moments of kindness matter more than you may think. A quick check-in, some patience, or even just a listening ear.
