Another successful Lynnhaven River NOW Community Cleanup! 🌿

Our LNCB crew spent the morning cleaning up around Lynnhaven Middle School and doing our part to help keep our community and local waterways clean.

Join us for our first ever Betterfest! We have planned a fun afternoon with a bounce house obstacle course, live music, a balloon artist, pizza and drinks, service raffles, carnival games and prizes, a “treat trot” for yummy baked goods, fairy hair, and temporary tattoos all to raise funds to feed our neighbors! Last year our group fundraised, purchased, and delivered Thanksgiving meals to over 30 families in our immediate local schools as well as over 200 bags to help combat food insecurities during the holiday break. This year we want to double this! Can’t wait to see you there!

This year we will be hosting BetterFest at Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club which is lots of fun for the whole family! Please help us out in this awesome event! We also ask that if anyone has stuffed animals they would like to donate (as prizes) that would be greatly appreciated!

Get excited for LNCB’s first meeting of the 2026-27 school year! This meeting will be open to new/potential members so if you’re in 6th-12th grade and want to check out what our group does, please join us! We’ll meet at the Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club clubhouse at 4pm on August 30th. Existing, new, and potential members, please make sure you find the RSVP link in our bio/comments below and let us know that you’re coming, so we know how much pizza, drinks and snacks we’ll need. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and can’t wait to continue spreading the ripple effect of goodness!

Today we dropped off the last backpacks, bringing the total to just over 400 backpacks for youth in foster care across Hampton Roads!

A huge shoutout to Everheld (formerly Connect With a Wish) for everything they do for youth and young adults in foster care. They’re getting ready for their big back-to-school event and are still collecting school supplies, so give them a follow and see how you can help. Everheld works year-round to provide resources, guidance, opportunities, and a strong support system for youth and young adults in foster care.

We’re really glad we got to partner with an organization that does such important work. There are so many ways to get involved. Give a follow, check out what they do, and consider supporting their work too. 🎒✏️✂️
