Help Make Virginia Beach Blue! The Virginia Beach Democratic Committee needs POLL GREETER volunteers. It's time to STEP UP FOR DEMOCRACY!

Be a Poll Greeter and help voters FINISH the Ballot, vote YES on all 3 Constitutional Amendments, and help shape our community’s future. Volunteers also help support our VBDC-endorsed candidates running for School Board and City Council. They do this by sharing the VBDC Voter Guides with voters as they arrive. Every shift helps voters feel informed, welcomed, and ready to participate. Training is provided!

Poll Greeters are needed during Early Voting at the VB Registrar's Office, 500 Studio Drive, today through October 31. They are also needed at the VB Satellite Voting Locations October 24-31. Those locations include:

- Bayside Recreation Center, 4500 First Court Rd.
- Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Dr.
- Kempsville Area Library, 832 Kempsville Rd.
- Princess Anne Library, 444 Nimmo Pkwy.
- Seatack Recreation Center, 141 S. Birdneck Rd.

Virginia Beach also has 108 voting precincts that need to be covered on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

The Virginia Beach Democratic Committee, with its United We Vote CommUNITY Celebration, is bringing Elaine Luria and Virginia Beach City Council and School Board candidates together on one stage, from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 23, in Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach Resistance members attended COVA Coalition's NO KINGS Rally today at Virginia Beach Blvd and Independence Blvd in VB. Of the four corners, this one was the least populated, but we had about 200 people total at the intersection. The national No Kings Day was actually yesterday, but because of the rain and wind, we postponed it to today. This was one of three intersections COVA organized today in Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

Visibility Brigade CoVa hosts a Resist & Persist VB Wednesday Weekly Street Protest from 7:30-9 am on Wednesdays at the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd. and Independence Blvd., near the Town Center, 4592 Virginia Beach Blvd., in Virginia Beach. The next event is on October 21. Visibility Brigade CoVa is part of COVA Coalition.

All are welcome! Come earlier or stay later! Bring your signs and flags! Bring your enthusiasm and SMILE. Please stay on the sidewalk, but not in the street or on private property. Please refrain from engaging with opposition.

The Suffolk Democratic Committee is working to fill Suffolk's 30 voting locations with Poll Greeters on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Volunteer for a shift or two at a precinct location across Suffolk. Volunteers will hand out sample ballots listing endorsed Democratic candidates and why it’s important to vote yes on the three constitutional amendments. The Suffolk Dems need "all hands on deck" to ensure Democratic candidates are elected in this important mid-term race. Shifts (3 or 4 hours) are available throughout North Suffolk.

Poll greeters are the volunteers who stand or sit outside voting locations and offer the Suffolk Democratic Sample Ballot to voters. This effort definitely makes a difference. Unlike the top of the ticket (U.S. Senator, U.S. Congress), where each candidate's party is clearly marked on the ballot, local candidates for City Council and School Board are NOT labeled by party. The Dem Sample Ballot clearly indicates which candidates the Democratic Party endorses. So Poll Greeters help elect ALL Dem candidates! The Sample Ballot also supports voting YES on the three Virginia Constitutional Amendments.
