The good news is that the funding needed to move the Hampton Roads Agricultural research and Extension Center was not appropriated FORNOW but this won’t go away. Developers are hungry for this property and we need to continue to fight it and raise a ruckus. Please tell your friends to sign the petition go to savearec.com to sign up and write letters to your legislators.

Its location is perfect for Hampton Roads & Virginia. Centrally located In Virginia Beach Bayside.

To anyone who cares about green space, over development, sea level rise, and wasted tax dollars- this page would like to illuminate folks about a proposed relocation of the Hampton Roads Agricultural and Research Station of Virginia Tech. A bill has been presented after Virginia Beach spent 500,000 dollars on a study to see what this would take. Now there is a proposed bill in the State legislature that would allocate 100,000,000 dollars (thats millions!) to move HRAREC to Pungo.
