What a fun day at the ballpark! ⚾

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Kane County Cougars game and helped make it a day full of family fun and community. We loved cheering on Zoey and Brayden as they each threw out a ceremonial first pitch and showed off their hard work in therapy with new pitching skills!

We’re especially grateful to our May Flash Fundraiser donors, as their support made this experience possible for Easterseals families.

Today is and at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, we see every day how powerful play can be.

Play helps children learn, build confidence, and explore new experiences—and for some, it can even help expand something as important as their diet.

Occupational Therapist, Kendall Dufek, OTR/L, and Social Worker, Bela Petitgout, MSW, LSW recently worked with Mia on play-based strategies to support her in trying new foods and building coping skills when introduced to something unfamiliar.

Through hard work, creativity, play, and encouragement, Mia has become more willing to try new foods and successfully added them to her diet! 🎉

To celebrate her progress, the team marked the moment with a special accomplishment cake during therapy—because milestones like these deserve to be celebrated.

Get ready to ride 🚴

Registration is now open for the 29th Annual Naperville Rotary Ride, hosted by Naperville Sunrise Rotary. Join them on Sunday, August 9, 2026, starting in South Naperville.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a great summer ride, Rotary Ride is designed to be approachable and enjoyable for all levels. Choose from three out-and-back routes 20, 40, or 60 miles—and ride at your own pace.

The day is fully supported, with support and gear along the routes, rest stops at each turnaround with drinks and snacks, and lunch waiting for you back at the finish. Start anytime between 6:30 and 10:30 am.

Summer is starting off with celebrating some incredible milestones!

🎓 Addy and Lily are ready for Kindergarten! Mom, Maggie, shares, “From some of their earliest challenges to this incredible milestone, Easterseals has helped Addy and Lily grow into confident, capable little girls who are ready to take on kindergarten, and our family will always be grateful for that."

🚦 Jaxon is growing in independence as he prepares for his driver's license and developing the skills needed to operate an accessible van.

🏆We also recognize Mary Jo who received the Harris-Rose Outstanding Alumnus Award at the 2026 Ball State University Disability Services Award. This award is given to a Ball State alumnus with a disability who has achieved significant success in their life after graduation.

We love celebrating these achievements and are so proud of our community for continuing to thrive, reach new goals, and support one another along the way!
