Hosting a Global Festival at Villa Grove Schools is a meaningful way to bring the world to our students and celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity. My goal is for every student (elementary-high school) to gain exposure to countries across all continents, expanding their understanding of traditions, languages, geography, food, music, and daily life.
This event creates an authentic learning experience where Spanish class high school students take ownership by researching countries and designing engaging, visually rich displays that showcase their learning.
In turn, our elementary students will "travel" from country to country, getting their passports stamped as they explore each exhibit.
This interactive experience fosters curiosity, empathy, and global awareness while building connections across grade levels. The Global festival is more than a project, it is an opportunity to unite our school community, celebrate diversity, and inspire students to see themselves as part of a larger, interconnected world.
