¡Felicidades to our 4 year Spanish club member, Luna! 💙✨

Congratulations to Ava Hudson, the Villa Grove State Bank Senior of the Month for October 2026.
Ava is the daughter of Nathan and Aubrey Hudson. She has 1 brother, Graham Hudson (15). In her free time, Ava enjoys baking, camping, spending time with friends and family, shopping & any type of crafting. She has worked at Camargo Township Library assisting with kids programs and shelving books since June of 2025. Ava ran Desserts by Ava from June 2023-January 2026 baking and decorating desserts for various occasions and babysits kids of all ages.
Ava has been involved in many extracurriculars at Villa Grove High School. She has participated in yearbook, Spanish Club, Student Council (Secretary 11-12), Science Club (President 12) & elected as a class officer for all 4 years (Secretary 9-11, VP 12); Blue Crew, Josten's Club, Adventure Club, & NHS for 3 years; & participated in scholastic bowl for 2 years. Her favorite subjects in school are Science & Spanish.

What are your future plans?
"I plan to attend a 4-year university to obtain a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and eventually become a labor and delivery nurse."
What is your proudest high school moment?
"My proudest high school moment is being selected for a competitive, one-day women in engineering and medicine program (Perry Outreach Program)."
What is the best thing about being a part of the Villa Grove Community?
"I think t he best thing about being a part of the Villa Grove community is always being surrounded by familiar faces."

¡Tuvimos una semana fantástica! 🩷

Spanish classes were full of presentations of learning about new Spanish-speaking countries led by our estudiantes 🩷🇭🇳Paula even brought in Honduran Chicken skewers for her class to try! Victor stepped in and taught his classmates the countries in Asia in both languages for our Geografía unit. 🌏🗺️
