ZNA Potomac Koi Club is a ZNA chapter affiliated with AKCA that has members in the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland areas.

Our final club meeting before our koi show in September is this Saturday. It will be in the picnic area at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna VA at 2pm. We'll mostly be discussing the final preparations for the show but I'm sure there will be a lot of koi and pond talk as well :). Speaking of the show we are just under a month away from it so if you want a tank or 2 or 3 I need to hear from you sooner rather than later. Thanks!

Hi All,

The show packet for the 2026 ZNA Potomac Koi Show to be held September 11-13 2026 has been posted to our website www.znapotomac.org. If you would like to show please fill out the entry form and mail it to me with your payment. You can also contact me via email [email protected] with your entry information and make a payment via Paypal. And of course you can also bring payment in person to either of the next two meetings. Our July meeting is coming up pretty quick and will be held at the Fradys on Saturday July 25 . If you don't know Mike Frady he's the one on the left holding the ZNA pin :). I look forward to seeing Mike and Caroline's koi and pond and all y'all very soon! Thanks!

Just a reminder that our May meeting will be Saturday 5/16 at 2pm at Vienna Aquarium of Leesburg. Be sure to come out and talk some koi and koi ponds with us and see what Chris has to offer at Vienna Aquarium! He always has a nice selection koi and koi pond supplies to choose from.

Coming up quick is our April meeting at Doug and Renee Silvers house in Manassas VA! It is a general meeting on April 25th at 2pm. We'll be discussing koi and koi ponds and club stuff. So Doug, Thai and myself did a koi rescue over the weekend. Now we've done dozens of koi rescues and many of them for pond construction issues such as collapsed walls, torn liners, cracked pipes but this was a first... The owners said the liner was failing so I figured it was a really old pond (I mean a standard Firestone EPDM is good for at least 25 years). Imagine my surprise when they said this liner was purchased from Amazon 3 years ago (2023) for almost $1000. Crazy right? Probably best to get a liner from any of the local koi stores instead of Amazon.
