🧘‍♀️ SOUND HEALING… AT A MATTRESS STORE?! 🛏️✨

Yes, you read that right! 😂❤️ Something fun and completely different is coming to Vienna!

On Sunday, September 27, Local Vienna Business Mind Body Paloma (Paloma ~ ✨Fitness, Yoga & Relaxation for Women✨) is taking over Mattress Warehouse of Vienna (so fun!😂) for Slumber Soundscape September — an hour of deep relaxation while you actually get to cozy up on a luxurious mattress! 🛏️💤

…Just bring your favorite pillow and blanket. This will be the slumber party you never knew you needed!! 😉😅💤✨

Paloma will surround guests with the calming sounds of singing bowls, chimes and other instruments designed to help you slow down, release tension and prepare your body for restful sleep.

And what makes this evening even more special: this month’s Slumber Soundscape is a fundraiser for One Neighborhood Foundation! 💚

💗💗💗 Paloma humbly shared with us that she grew up on food stamps, and when she was just 8 years old, her family’s home caught fire. She still remembers the kindness of her little community helping her family recover what was lost. She told us that seeing the way Vienna Foodies and One Neighborhood Foundation give back reminds her of that same kindness. 🥹💗💗💗

Please join us:

Join us for a women’s wellness and networking summit featuring local wellness practitioners, interactive experiences, educational resources, giveaways and meaningful connections — all within a welcoming and supportive community of women.

✨ FEATURED KEYNOTE SPEAKER | 12:30 PM
Brooke Bralove, LCSW-C, Certified Master ART Practitioner, AASECT Certified S*x Therapist & Daring Way Trained Facilitator

Brooke will lead an empowering conversation about “big T” and “little t” trauma and how years of trying to be everything to everyone — perfect, productive, selfless and strong — can leave us stuck in survival mode. She’ll explore how these experiences can become stored in the body and how body-based approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) can help us move from simply surviving to truly thriving.

❤️ Giving back is part of the day, too!
Fuel Your Fire is proudly supporting BRAWS (BRAWS) and One Neighborhood Foundation (One Neighborhood Foundation|NonProfit), with a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting One Neighborhood Foundation.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring new bras, menstrual products and feminine hygiene essentials to support BRAWS.

500 DONUTS. 500 SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS & ATTENDANTS. ONE VERY IMPORTANT MORNING. 🍩🚌💛☀️

Before the school year began, One Neighborhood Foundation received a message from Mr. Jeremy Doxer, Senior Manager for Transportation for the Area 4 Transportation Office with Fairfax County Public Schools.

He was preparing for his annual Back-to-School Safety In-Service — a morning dedicated to training approximately 500 bus drivers and attendants, helping them begin the year informed, prepared and in the right mindset for the enormous responsibility ahead. 💝

Because every morning, families across our community put their most precious cargo on those yellow buses. 💛🙏

We trust these incredible men and women to greet our children, look out for them, keep them safe and get them where they need to go. For so many children, their bus driver is one of the first smiling faces they see each morning — and one of the last as they make their way safely home. 🥲

We wanted them to know how much our community appreciates them.

One Neighborhood Foundation teamed up with our wonderful friends at Texas Donuts (thank you Hoang Ton + Jean Rivera!) to provide 500 fresh donuts. 🍩🚌

We were also grateful to have Dr. David Michael Gustitus and Dr. Reyes of Whole Body Health Chiropractic provide complimentary assessments and guidance on posture and physical wellness — especially important for those spending so many hours behind the wheel. ❤️

To every school bus driver and attendant: THANK YOU. 💓

Thank you for the early mornings, your patience, learning every route and stop, watching out for our children and, most importantly, getting them safely to school and safely home again. 🙏🚌💛

Wishing our FCPS transportation teams a safe, happy and wonderful school year ahead. We see you. We appreciate you. We are so grateful for everything you do for our kids.

Today we want to recognize one of our most dedicated volunteers and top supporters, Vienna man— Mike Davis. ❤️

Mike is the definition of a community champion. Whether he’s donating his time, stepping in to help at events, dressing up to bring smiles to families, or making generous financial contributions, he is always there when our community needs him most.

Because of supporters like Mike, One Neighborhood Foundation has been able to provide meals for teachers, support food-insecure families, respond to local emergencies, and extend a helping hand to those affected by tragedies here at home and overseas.

Your kindness, generosity, and servant’s heart have touched countless lives. Thank you, Mike, for believing in our mission and for showing what it truly means to care for your neighbors.

We are incredibly grateful for you. 💚💚💚

Happening now on Orchard Street! 🌸

Lisa Heffern Waters of I Can Buy Myself Flowers is hosting a community yard sale today, with neighbors selling clothing, household items, goodies, flowers, lemonade, baked goods and more!

The best part?
Each seller is donating a portion of their proceeds to a local cause or mission that is meaningful to them.

Lisa selected two special causes to support, while other participating neighbors are giving back to organizations close to their own hearts.

Come shop, support your neighbors and help make a difference! 💕

This past Fourth of July, our community came together in the most beautiful way to support the victims of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. ❤️🇻🇪

Together, One Neighborhood Foundation (One Neighborhood Foundation|NonProfit) and People and Pets Together Inc. (People & Pets Together Inc.) hosted a fundraiser in collaboration with Texas Donuts - Vienna (Texas Donuts), where a portion of every purchase was donated to World Central Kitchen (World Central Kitchen) to help provide relief for those impacted by the disaster.

Because of your incredible generosity (and love for donuts!!!), we raised $3,000 •during• the event! 🎉

THEN— Texas Donuts generously added a $500 donation, and People and Pets Together Inc. personally contributed another $500, bringing our grand total to an amazing $4,000 for earthquake relief in Venezuela. ❤️

GRAND TOTAL: $4,000 FUNDRAISED!!! 🫶

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by, purchased donuts, donated, shared our fundraiser, or helped spread the word. Every act of kindness made a difference. 🙏❤️💙

A special thank you to our wonderful face painter Lu Magic 🪄 for bringing so much joy to all the little ones who came out to support. 🎨✨

And a very special shoutout to our very first donor, Gabby Gabriela Ritchey, Assistant Principal at Thoreau Middle School and a proud Venezuelan. Your support from the very beginning meant so much & gave us faith to keep going with the fundraiser. 💓

Vienna, thank you for once again showing that when a community comes together, we can make a real difference—no matter where in the world that help is needed. 🇺🇸❤️🇻🇪

$4,000 has been donated to World Central Kitchen as of today from this effort earmarked towards Venezuela. ✨

Some of life’s biggest lessons come from the littlest people. 💓

Sweet Elli just turned 3 years old, and she’s already teaching us one of life’s greatest lessons: putting others before herself.

Instead of birthday gifts this year, Elli asked her family and friends to bring backpacks for food-insecure children. 🎒❤️

Thanks to her incredible kindness, handfuls of backpacks were collected and donated to local children in our community who needed them most.

A special thank you to Elli’s wonderful mama, Mona, for helping bring this beautiful idea to life and partnering with One Neighborhood Foundation. We were truly honored to receive these backpacks and help place them into the hands of children who will benefit from them.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Elli! Your generosity is already making the world a kinder place. 💛🎉🎒

Earlier this summer, we put out a call to our community asking for help collecting toys for a very special surprise. ❤️

Freedom Hill Elementary School had already planned a wonderful initiative to provide summer reading books.

One Neighborhood Foundation was honored to jump in and add to that effort by filling up a truck with donated toys, so each child would also receive a special surprise to take home. 🧸📚

Thanks to your incredible generosity, every single toy was handed out.

When money is tight, an unexpected gift can bring so much joy. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped put smiles on the faces of so many children this summer. 🫶💛

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community partners:
✨ Caffe Amouri
✨ Chick-fil-A Vienna on Maple
✨ Texas Donuts - Vienna
✨ Blue Ribbon Barber Shop
✨ Gift of Language - Spanish Immersion School

And a very special thank you to People and Pets Together Inc.. for leading the toy drive, collecting donations on behalf of One Neighborhood Foundation, and being such incredible partners. We love working alongside you to serve our community. ❤️

Together, we helped make a meaningful day even more special for these children, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible.
