To our community, donors, and supporters:

With a heavy heart, we announce that after one year of service, we are closing our doors for now. This work is incredibly important to us, and to everyone involved. In our one year, we helped SO many families and children, and we are so so so proud of that.

Every single dollar ever donated went straight to a family in need. We helped families with housing, keeping their lights on, getting food in their bellies, having Christmas, clothing children, and SO much more.

We hope that in the years to come, The Pink Bow Project will open once again and be back better than ever. There are not enough thank you’s for all the support over the last year. We will keep this page active for a bit longer, and then we will say “see you later.” Thank you everyone.🎀🎀

Today, we want to bring attention to an organization who collects and hands out teddy bears in memory of a sweet baby boy! Founded by his mother, Bode’s Blessings gives teddy bears to children in the hospital- specifically the NICU- to bring comfort to the children & their parents.

They have donation boxes set up at local businesses in Vidalia & Lyons. If you’d like to learn more about this organization and the heart behind it, please follow them at Bode’s Blessings , in memory of Bode Reid Fisher💙🎀

Today, The Pink Bow Project celebrates ONE YEAR.

Originally founded as The Reese Hughes Child Safety Foundation, our nonprofit organization’s mission has always been clear… To provide resources that bring relief to single-parent families, to ultimately reduce stress that can lead to unsafe situations for children. Our founder & president had a deeply meaningful relationship with a 4 year old child who lost her life due to abuse; from that pain and grief, The Pink Bow Project was born.

In our first year, we were able to:

-Help 10 families keep their lights on
-Help 12 families keep their home
-Partnered with Bread of Heaven to feed 75 children during the SNAP benefit cut
-Partnered with Soleful Blessings to purchase brand new shoes & socks for 10 children
-Clothed 15 children
-Set up an angel tree where members of the community provided Christmas gifts to 27 children
-Started a support group for single moms
-Organized a toy drive for CASA at Christmas

But we could not have done all of this without YOU!!! All of the donations, t-shirt purchases, shares, likes, and support mean more than anything in the world. Our community takes child abuse prevention seriously and we see it every day with your support.

🎀 SEE A NEED, FILL A NEED 🎀

To our wonderful donors & supporters, we have an urgent need we are trying to fill this evening. A local single mom was hospitalized with sepsis, and now she is trying to catch up. We all know how difficult missing even one day of work is, much less missing weeks of work.

All she is requesting is $250 to pay her light bill. $250 is all we need to ensure this mother can heal in the comfort of her home, and that her children will not be without power. Thank you to Ashton Henry and her sweet daughter Amaya for helping fill the 50 bookbags we handed out today! We went to a local neighborhood to hand them out and were met with so much kindness and warm welcomes. We are so thankful to the businesses who donated to make this happen. And we love community members who enjoy helping us with community outreach! 🩷🎀

Because of you, we were able to fill 50 bookbags with supplies. 50 children who won’t have to worry if they’ll have what they need this upcoming year. We are so thankful for our partnership with Soleful Blessings Shoe Ministry. They have provided many of the kiddos we serve with brand new shoes. Currently, they are trying to purchase shoes for 4 children we are serving! If you’d like to donate, please check their posts for ways to do that! 🩷🎀

In partnership with The Pink Bow Project, Soleful Blessings is helping a single parent in Toombs County who is experiencing financial hardship while raising four children.

These siblings, ages 17, 16, 12, and 10, need brand-new shoes and clothing before the new school year begins in just a few weeks.👟👟👟👟

Every child deserves to walk into school feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to learn. A new pair of properly fitting shoes can make a meaningful difference. Soleful Blessings Shoe Ministry will provide the shoes and socks.
