The Vidalia Rotary Club was honored to welcome Ms. Tonya Parker with the Downtown Vidalia Association as our guest speaker.

Ms. Parker shared the many exciting accomplishments and ongoing projects that are helping make Downtown Vidalia a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

Through their dedication and vision, they have helped bring new jobs to our community, established an entertainment district, and created inviting spaces where families and friends can gather.

Some of the exciting additions include the parklet featuring a photo booth, swing, and musical flowers, improvements to Meadows Park, and public art installations that encourage community creativity and engagement. The Downtown Vidalia Association also supports local businesses through the Downtown Development Revolving Loan Fund, helping entrepreneurs invest in our community’s future.

Their commitment to promoting local shopping and hosting Coffee Before Hours events helps showcase and strengthen our local businesses while fostering meaningful community connections.

🌎🚮 Keep It Clean, Vidalia! 🚮🌎

There is something special about a community that comes together to make a difference. We are proud to support Keep It Clean Vidalia and its mission to keep our city beautiful, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

By taking the time to pick up litter and care for our shared spaces, we show pride in our community and set a positive example for future generations. Every piece of trash removed helps protect our environment, enhances our neighborhoods, and demonstrates the power of teamwork.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, organizations, and community members who participated in this important effort. Together, we can make a lasting impact and keep Vidalia looking its best.

The Vidalia Rotary Club was honored to welcome Mr. Steve Freenor, Principal of Vidalia High School, as our guest speaker.

Mr. Freenor shared his vision and commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive in the future. Through high academic standards, personalized educational opportunities, and a focus on student achievement, Vidalia High School continues to prepare students for success beyond graduation.

We are excited to hear that Vidalia High School is looking to expand its academic offerings by adding another Advanced Placement (AP) course, bringing the total to an impressive 11 AP courses available to students. This dedication to academic excellence has helped Vidalia High School earn recognition as an AP STEM School.

Thank you, Mr. Freenor, for your leadership, dedication, and passion for helping students reach their full potential. We appreciate the positive impact you are making in our community and look forward to seeing the continued success of Vidalia High School!

What a wonderful day of fun, friendship, and fresh air! Our rotarians enjoyed a social outing at Warmouth Sands, where we spent time together sharing laughs, making memories, and hitting golf balls on the driving range.

There’s nothing quite like enjoying the outdoors, staying active, and connecting with friends. From practicing our swings to cheering one another on, everyone had a fantastic time!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special outing possible. We look forward to many more adventures together!

Vidalia Rotary was proud to hear about the wonderful work Rachel’s House is doing in our community. Rachel’s House is managed by Luis Gonzalez and his team, Alexandria and Katie. Together they serve at risk women in 15 surrounding counties by providing pregnancy testing, making referrals to local medical providers, offering parenting and adoption classes as well as counseling patients to make life affirming decisions. What a busy day we had yesterday! Our Club awarded scholarships to graduating seniors and had a great program by Karrie Page of HCA, which taught us ‘How To Stop the Bleed’. Thank you Karrie!

Congratulations to our 7 Vidalia Rotary Scholarship Winners!! Each student was awarded a $1,000 scholarship named after a Vidalia Rotarian, except for the Presidential scholarship. To be considered, all applicants submitted an application and essay. The winners are below:
