🌲🪵 Vidalia Rotary was pleased to welcome Mr. Rhett Thompson and Ms. Susan Thompson with Thompson Lumber Company!

Founded in 1909 by two brothers, Thompson Lumber Company has an incredible history that now spans four generations of family. We enjoyed learning more about the company’s legacy, growth, and continued dedication to the lumber industry.

It was especially fascinating to see how trees are processed and transformed into the beautiful pieces of wood that are eventually used to build homes, businesses, and so much more. What a wonderful reminder of the craftsmanship, hard work, and history behind an industry that plays such an important role in our everyday lives!

Thank you, Mr. Rhett and Ms. Susan, for sharing the story of Thompson Lumber Company with us. We truly enjoyed having you!

Vidalia Rotary was proud to be represented at the Greater Vidalia Chamber Business Expo! 💙💛

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local businesses, organizations, and community members while sharing more about Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self and the many ways our club works to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.

We are especially proud to continue raising awareness for Rotary International’s fight to End Polio Now as we count down toward making history! 🌎

Thank you to the Greater Vidalia Chamber for hosting such a great event and for bringing our community together. We are proud to be part of a community filled with people who serve, lead, and support one another!

💙 Vidalia Rotary Welcomes Ms. Rebecca Miller with Open Doors to the Handicapped! 💙

Vidalia Rotary was honored to welcome Ms. Rebecca Miller with Open Doors to the Handicapped and learn more about the incredible work they are doing in our community.

Open Doors to the Handicapped helps build wheelchair ramps for individuals with disabilities and elderly residents, giving them safer and easier access to their homes while helping them maintain their independence.

A special thank you to the Georgia Power Ambassadors for volunteering their time and talents to help build these much-needed ramps, and to the United Way for helping provide funding for these important projects. Partnerships like these truly make a difference in the lives of our neighbors! ❤️
