CRS Food Pantry is seeking local farmers who would like to partner with us to supply fresh eggs for our clients.
Our grant agreement is designed specifically to support partnerships with local farmers, and we are grateful for the opportunity to keep this work within our community.
We currently need a minimum of 75 dozen eggs each week, but we have not found a single farm able to provide that full amount. It was suggested that we reach out to see if several farmers might be interested in supplying 15–20 dozen each.
We also want to share that J & E Farm graciously reached out to us. Their hens are raised on pasture and fed all‑natural grain, and we deeply respect the quality and care that goes into their eggs. However, because of their higher production cost, partnering with them would limit us to providing about 25 dozen per week, which falls short of the 75 dozen required by our grant.
If you’re a local farmer who would like to partner with us — or want more details — please reach out.
Together, we can strengthen our local food system and serve our neighbors with dignity.

A Message of Reassurance and Gratitude to United Methodist Churches and the former members of Thrift Chapel Church.

From the hearts of the Community Resource Services (CRS) Food Pantry - in it's new location of 45 Marshalltown Road, Victoria VA.

Please know this: every time we walk into this building, we feel the love that was poured into it long before CRS ever arrived. The prayers, the fellowship, the worship, the community care — none of that disappeared. It lives on in the spirit of this place.

We truly bask in God’s blessings each time we enter. The warmth, the welcome, the sense of purpose… it’s all still here.

And I want to reassure you and others who may feel the same way:
This building remains a pillar in the community.
The service happening here — feeding families, supporting neighbors, offering hope — is a living testament to the heart of the United Methodist Church. Its legacy continues through every act of kindness that takes place within these walls.

What once was sacred is still sacred.
What once served the community still serves the community.
And we are grateful to carry forward the love and mission that began here.
