THANK YOU!!!
On behalf of the board for the Woodford County Track Club, we wanted to say thank you...Thank you to everyone who came out last night and supported our mission. Thank you to everyone who registered for the race. Thank you to our sponsors who donated towards the race. Thank you to the Versailles Police Department for directiring traffic. Thank you to the Wandering Dog and Tropic Shaved Ice for being food trucks at the event. Thank you to Kelly Crume of Crume Photograpy for coming out and taking photos.Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us put on an amazing race. Thank to all the cross country coaches who encouraged their kids to run. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks to you and your support, we were able to raise around $3000 for the track and field programs of Woodford County!

10 Days Until Back the Track 5K!
Are You Registered?!
That's right. There are only 10 days until our Second Annual Back the Track 5K! And we can't wait to see everyone there! Everyone is invited to wear their best black and gold outfits to support Woodford County Track Club

A Spirit Award will be given to an adult and child who are wearing their best black and gold! One of the awards is pictured below.

As of today, we have 99 people registered for the race. Last year, we had over 120 people. There is still plenty of time to register. And there are still plenty of t-shirts!

3 Days until the Price of the Race Goes Up!
That's right. The registration price for Back the Track 5k goes up after Friday July 31. And you don't want to miss out on this great race which supports the track and field programs of Woodford County!
There is a lot of fun stuff planned for this race! Here's five reasons why to sign up today!
1) There will be pre-race packet pickup on Thursday, August 13th from 5:30 pm until 8 pm at Midway Christian Church (123 East Bruen Street, Midway, KY). We will have bibs and t-shirts ready to give out to runners.
2) We will be giving out not one BUT TWO Spirit Awards. One adult and one kid will receive spirit awards for representing and wearing their best black and gold.
3) We will have a Stick Horse Race sponsored by Wingswept Farms. The race begins at 7:00 pm. Each child will get their very own stick horse to race and keep. We will also have a special parents' stick horse race as well. The cost to participate is $5. Payment for the Stick Horse Race will be made on the night of the race (cash or credit/debit card accepted). This is separate from the race registration.
4) Food Trucks, The Wandering Dog and Tropic Shaved Ice, will be there with items to purchase before and after the race.
5) Awards will be given to the:
Top 3 M/F Finishers Overall (Trophy, Gift Certificate & Show Ribbon)
Top 3 M/F Age Groups (Show Ribbon)
Age Group Categories: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24,
25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75+

We are one month away from our Second Annual Back the Track 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk!

What's new for this year's race?

1) We will have packet pick up on Thursday, August 13 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Midway Christian Church (123 East Bruen Street)

2) Participants are invited to wear their best black and gold. A Spirit Award will be given to one adult and one child.

3) We have adjusted our age categories a bit this year for the 5K, the youngest being 6 and under.

4) We are also making sure that we have awards for the top 3 male and 3 female in each age category.

5) We will have food for purchase from two great food trucks, the Wandering Dog and Tropic Shaved Ice!
