4/14: Brody would have turned 14 today 💛🐾

As most dogs are to thier people, he brought love and joy to us everyday. In his honor, we’re starting something simple…14 for Brody.

We’re looking for 14 people to give $14/month to support our Brody’s Blessings—care and comfort for families navigating a cancer diagnosis with their dog.

Because I know how much those moments matter. And to the families that have gotten a care package, it reminds them that everyday moments matter too🤍

✨ Meet the heart behind a mission rooted in compassion and healing.

Laura Tracey is a licensed school psychologist and the founder of Everyday Feathers Foundation, an organization inspired by the life and love of her yellow Labrador Retriever, Brody. After losing him to cancer, Laura turned grief into purpose, creating a foundation that supports families navigating canine cancer diagnoses while also championing mental health through the powerful bond between people and dogs.

With a career dedicated to advocating for children and families, Laura has supported school communities through some of their most difficult moments. Her experience assisting students after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy revealed the profound comfort therapy dogs can provide in times of trauma.

Through Everyday Feathers, Laura continues to build stronger, more resilient communities, reminding us that even in life’s hardest moments, connection, compassion, and everyday acts of love can make all the difference. 💛

Our Brody’s Blessings care packages are packed with love and intention for a family navigating canine cancer.

Our boxes typically include treats and toys to spoil the dog, a meal for a family, and a handwritten note to remind them that they are not walking this journey alone.

These boxes are built from things that were given to Brody and his family when he was going through his cancer journey. They are meant to honor his legacy and by showing up for families during some of their hardest days.

Because everyday moments matter.

November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month, and early detection can save lives.

Here are some signs of cancer in dogs every pet parent should know and talk to your vet about:
🐾 Unexplained lumps or bumps
🐾 Sudden weight loss or loss of appetite
🐾 Persistent limping or stiffness
🐾 Behavior changes (lethargy, withdrawal, irritability)
🐾 Sores that don’t heal

If your dog has battled cancer, we see you. If you’ve lost a dog to cancer, we hold space for you.
