Good morning Uintah County friends and family!!
We just wanted to hop on here and give an update... We still need Christmas treats (Chocolate Cherries/ Cookie Tins etc.) We also have not received nearly enough gift bag items to give out to all of our seniors! We have the rest of this week left to donate. Let's come together as a community and see if we can get this done!!

In this 10th year of giving, our Sub for Seniors, in the Uintah Basin Volunteer delivery team is working to pack a holiday gift and food bag for each of the Uintah Basin seniors on our list! These seniors are generally isolated, lonely, and unable to provide for themselves. Each year we find our "why" as we are out delivering to these folks. They are so thankful, so happy for company, and so grateful that we remembered them!

To make it easier, we have made a list of needed items that we are hoping to receive and pack gift bags with. You can shop locally (which is so great!) or you can also shop from our Amazon Wishlist, with items shipping directly to us at the Golden Age Center in Vernal.

Non-perishable food items, gift items, and monetary donations are being collected now through 12/13 for a much anticipated delivery date of 12/19! *No expired food will be accepted!*

Your thoughtful gifts and donations can be dropped off at The Golden Age Center in Vernal at 330 S. Aggie Blvd., Monday-Friday from 8:30am until 3:00pm.

Thank you so much for helping us to bring this much needed and anticipated holiday cheer to the most isolated, lonely, and in-need seniors in the Uintah Basin!!

We need to pause for a moment and thank all the incredible people and companies that helped make Sub for Seniors 2023 a resounding success. Once again our amazing community came together to make Christmas just a little bit more special for many of our local seniors. We want to give a special thank you to MPLX for their continued support both with funding and manpower. Also this year, we appreciate the support of Charlene Bradshaw, Rebecca Boren and The Polar Bear Run for their incredible donation. Thank you so much to Simplot who are always such great community supporters. And a giant Thank You needs to go out to Petra Jones for her continued support with her purchase of our Angels Among Us Tree in this years Trees for Charity. Lastly, we could never begin to list all of the incredible donors who gave money, goods, and time to bless the lives of 400 seniors in our community. Please know how much you are appreciated and may 2024 bring wonderful things to you, to our seniors and to our wonderful community. Thank You!!!

HELP! We need help tomorrow, Thursday morning from 8am-10am at the Golden Age Center (330 Aggie Blvd, Vernal)! We have 800 bags of gifts and food that we need help loading on to our delivery busses- many hands make for light work- if you can come down (bring your friends!) and help just for a little bit in the morning our delivery and volunteer teams would be so thankful! Tomorrow is our big delivery day! ❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️
