The Windjammers Big Band seeks a keyboard player for our band. You need to be familiar with big band music from the 1940s and be able to improvise. An electronic keyboard is available if you cannot bring your own. You need to be available on Monday nights for rehearsals from 7:15 to 9:00pm, and for concerts on varying dates throughout the summer and fall. The VCMA Community Concert Band is looking for a band director to lead our band in the summer and winter concert seasons. The band consists of approximately 40 musicians of varying ages and musical levels who enjoy performing concert band music. The Vermilion Community Band begins rehearsals this Thursday night, March 6th. If you play percussion or a wind instrument, we would love to have you join us. High school students thru 90s. You all have a lot to offer! We meet at Lucy Idol Center on 435 Nicholson Rd. Just south of Rte 6. No pressure group, we have fun playing together. Bring a music stand if you have one.

The Vermilion Community Concert Band will start rehearsals for the winter concert season this Thursday, September 26th. Please join us at the Lucy Idol Center, 435 Nicholson Road, Vermilion, at 7 pm. Everyone who wants to play from high school students to adults are welcome! Dust off that clarinet and come on down! No audition necessary! If you can't make it this week, come next week, we really want you to enjoy the thrill of making music!

The Windjammer Big Band performed at the VFW Post 7576 on Poorman Rd in Vermilion Saturday night Sept. 21. This dance was organized by the Sandusky Dance Club.
