Baba's Feed Project

Through fundraising and donations, we provide food kits to families in Northern India. And in doing so, provide jobs for those we serve.

Baba's Feed Project is a 501 (c )(3) charity whose principal purpose is feeding extremely food-insecure families in the most poverty-stricken areas of Northern India. To date (June 2022), with your generous donations, Baba's Feed Project has distributed more than one million meals. Immediate goals for Baba's Feed Project are increasing meal distribution to two million meals annually and incorporating education into our services. Long-term goals are investing in a facility in India to store, package, and distribute food and clothing items. In addition, we intend to build a school into this facility to educate the children of those working for Baba's Feed Project as well as other children living in the surrounding areas in the same dire situation. A month filled with seva, connection, and love. 💛🙏

As we look back on some of the moments from this month, we’re reminded that seva can be found in every meal shared, every helping hand, and every moment of care offered to another.

We’re also grateful to share these moments alongside our dear friend Bharat Dass, whose presence and heart for service are a beautiful part of this journey.

Each photo represents more than a moment—it reflects the love and compassion that continue to bring our community together and make this work possible.

Today, we reflect on his enduring message of peace, truth, compassion, and service to others. His life reminds us of the power we each hold to create meaningful change—not only through great actions, but through the kindness, courage, and care we bring into our everyday lives.

May this day inspire us to choose peace, lead with love, serve with humility, and continue finding ways to uplift those around us.

These moments from the past month reflect the heart of Baba’s Feed Project—sharing nourishing food, supporting families, and showing up with love for the children and communities we are honored to serve.

Behind every distribution are real people, beautiful families, and countless moments of connection. From meals placed into waiting hands to the smiles of children, we are continually reminded that even simple acts of care can make a meaningful difference.

Baba’s words remind us that love is not only something we offer when it is easy. It is a practice—one that asks us to keep our hearts open even when we have been hurt.

Choosing love does not mean ignoring pain. It means refusing to let hurt harden the heart or separate us from compassion.

May we find the strength to forgive, the grace to soften, and the courage to keep choosing love. 💛

Earlier this week, Pintu spent time serving construction laborers who gather each day in hopes of finding work. 💛

Many of these workers wait in designated areas where they can be hired for a full day or even just a few hours. But with so many people seeking work, not everyone is chosen. Some wait all day only to return home without having earned anything to support themselves and their families.

Knowing how difficult and uncertain these days can be, Pintu felt called to provide food to those waiting for work—offering a nourishing meal and a reminder that they are seen and cared for.

These are the moments that embody the heart of seva: seeing a need, showing up, and serving with love. 🙏

Today, we celebrate India's Independence Day—a day that honors the nation's rich history, resilient spirit, and the countless individuals whose courage helped shape its future.

At Baba's Feed Project, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to serve communities throughout India through the spirit of seva. Every meal shared, every family supported, and every act of kindness is a reminder that compassion has the power to unite us beyond all differences.
