Baba's Feed Project

Through fundraising and donations, we provide food kits to families in Northern India. And in doing so, provide jobs for those we serve.

Baba's Feed Project is a 501 (c )(3) charity whose principal purpose is feeding extremely food-insecure families in the most poverty-stricken areas of Northern India. To date (June 2022), with your generous donations, Baba's Feed Project has distributed more than one million meals. Immediate goals for Baba's Feed Project are increasing meal distribution to two million meals annually and incorporat

ing education into our services. Long-term goals are investing in a facility in India to store, package, and distribute food and clothing items. In addition, we intend to build a school into this facility to educate the children of those working for Baba's Feed Project as well as other children living in the surrounding areas in the same dire situation. Earlier this week, Pintu spent time serving construction laborers who gather each day in hopes of finding work. 💛

Many of these workers wait in designated areas where they can be hired for a full day or even just a few hours. But with so many people seeking work, not everyone is chosen. Some wait all day only to return home without having earned anything to support themselves and their families.

Knowing how difficult and uncertain these days can be, Pintu felt called to provide food to those waiting for work—offering a nourishing meal and a reminder that they are seen and cared for.

These are the moments that embody the heart of seva: seeing a need, showing up, and serving with love. 🙏

Today, we celebrate India's Independence Day—a day that honors the nation's rich history, resilient spirit, and the countless individuals whose courage helped shape its future.

At Baba's Feed Project, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to serve communities throughout India through the spirit of seva. Every meal shared, every family supported, and every act of kindness is a reminder that compassion has the power to unite us beyond all differences.

As we celebrate this day, may we also reflect on the freedom to love, serve, and uplift one another with open hearts.
