Fix It Fest - Vandalia IL

Now that I’ve had some time to breathe I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came together to make Fix It Fest a success! First, a HUGE thank you to our volunteers who sacrificed their time and offered up their skill to our community. It was a blast hanging out with them and everyone had wonderful attitudes all day. Thank you to Vandalia’s Masons for lending us their building for this event. Thank you to Time’s Right for sponsoring and helping us pay for much needed supplies to make this happen. Thank you to the Coffee Bean Espresso Shed for donating breakfast for our volunteers and Angel Sandlin for donating lunches. It took many people coming together to make this event a reality and I’m beyond thankful for them all! Last, I’d like to thank the wonderful members of the community who showed up and supported the event. Y’all are why we do this event. Thank you thank you thank you!

Today’s the day!! The Masonic Lodge 9-6. Come join us with any household items you'd like to see fixed! We have a small team of volunteers happy to help you fix and keep your items instead of throwing out and buying new.

Not sure what to bring? Here are some ideas:
- Clothing ripped at the seam or in need of a patch.
- Shirts missinf a button
- Knives that need sharpened (no serrated edges and must be brought in sheaths or blocks)
- Small furniture with wiggly or floppy legs
- Broken necklaces or bracelets
- Anything needing a button resown on
- That kid's toy that you've been meaning to super glue for ages but still haven't bought superglue for (looking at myself here..)

Not sure if we can fix it? That's okay! You can drop a comment or swing by.

FUND RAISER UPDATE: When placing the order I wasn't given the option for the lemon filled donuts. We're following up with anyone who ordered the lemon filled donuts to see how they would like it replaced. We anticipate to have this completed by tomorrow (the 7th) and the order placed. This does delay the donut pick up as Krispy Kreme needs 72 hours to complete the order.
