We need a FOSTER for one of these cute girls!

They are coming from a rough situation where they were kenneled outdoors and potentially mistreated. Despite all of this, they have been very sweet and are just nervous. Due to their living outdoors in crates, they likely will not be potty trained.

We need a foster by the time they arrive tomorrow afternoon so please reach out if you are available! All supplies included!

It’s our favorite time of year!
For the 6th year in a row we are partnering with Trinia for our annual
Pumpkins Fur Paws charity event to raise funds for animals in need.

Here’s you chance to pick up a pumpkin, pets some seriously adorable pups from .secondchance Stumptown Strays Dog Rescue and other local rescues, and of course enjoy delicious coffee.

🚨🚨FOSTERS NEEDED🚨🚨

These 3 dogs are in need of YOUR help!

Meet Lucy, Oso and Fester - 2 year old golden doodle / German shepherd mixes in need of foster homes (ideally separately)!

After a very traumatic event happened in their owners life, they have decided that the kindest thing to do is find new homes for these pups and we are trying to help them!

These dogs have done great with people and other dogs, but would do best in a home without cats and chickens. These pups have lived a decent amount of their lives outdoors but do have good house manners. All they need is a place to rest while we look for their forever homes!

As always, all supplies are included when fostering with us! Please reach out if interested!

As much as we were hoping to have a day “off”, this girl needed us more. Meet Pearl, the newest member of the rescue, clearly in need of some serious TLC. She was found this morning by a Good Samaritan fishing on the Sandy River in Oregon. She is obviously underweight and appears to be fighting a respiratory infection. Her past is unknown but we’re going to do our best to make sure her future is bright!

We were trying to remain optimistic that Vinnie’s injury was not human induced… but we can no longer do that.

Vinnie’s front leg is completely fractured, in multiple pieces… due to a gun shot wound. Unfortunately due to the severity of the break and fragments of the bullets present, amputation is the best option for Vinny right now. Although we hate to amputate a front leg on a big guy (85 lbs), we know that recovery from an attempted surgery to repair the leg would be more painful and has a high chance of failure. Although three legged dogs can live wonderfully lives, he will likely develop arthritis on his remaining front leg at a younger age.

This procedure will not be a cheap one, but he is worth the expense.

Meet Vinnie - as you can tell, he has had a rough go of it but we will get him feeling better soon! He was found on a Vineyard out in Eastern Washington with a badly injured leg. He is a big boy and we are guessing rottie / pit mix. Despite the excruciating pain he is in, he has been a sweetheart. We aren’t jumping to conclusions about what caused his injuries, but X-rays tomorrow should help determine that. In the meantime he is on LOTS of meds after arriving tonight and has a full belly and a comfortable place to rest.

Vinnie’s journey with us isn’t going to be a cheap one, but he’s worth every penny! Interested in donating to his care? Please do so via our website!

Multiple people interested - thank you!!

🔹FOSTER NEEDED🔹

Meet Sorbet! We received her and her siblings as an owner surrender early this past summer, after she was adopted out locally she has unfortunately been returned due to no fault of her own. The new owners have had an unexpected life change and are unable to keep her. She is estimated to be lab / Great Pyrenees mix, about 5 months old, 30 lbs, spayed and vaccinated. She is very sweet, smart and submissive; she is potty trained and doing great with recall training! She loves all people and is looking for a foster home while looking for her forever home!
