Assistance League of Southwest Washington We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening community in Southwest Washington.

Assistance League of Southwest Washington’s 60+ volunteers are what make our organization so remarkable. All members are highly motivated to effect change in our community because they have a personal stake in the outcome. Each one has the spirit to get the job done, whatever it is and whatever it takes. Assistance League of Southwest Washington touches the lives of more than 3,300 individuals and their families. Of the funds raised, our rate of return to the community exceeds 75 percent. Our members invest more than 10,000 service hours every year.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

For someone experiencing domestic violence, having a safe person to talk to, a place to turn, or simply someone who believes them can mean so much.

Awareness starts with understanding that abuse isn't always easy to see and that survivors deserve compassion, support and the freedom to make their own choices about what comes next.

Through our Assault Survivor Kits® program, Assistance League of Southwest Washington provides essential items, including clothing and personal care products, to local hospitals and the YWCA Clark County. It’s one small way we can support survivors in our community.

🍎 Food is a basic need, but for some local children and youth, having enough isn’t always a given.

That’s why food support is woven into several of our programs. Through our Operation School Bell® program, we provide grocery gift cards to families who are struggling and snacks for students during testing time. Through Bags of Basics and Youth Essentials & Support (YES), we give food and grocery gift cards to unhoused and unaccompanied youth who may not have consistent access to meals or a safe place to keep food.

Our programs may look different, but they all have something in common: meeting people where they are and providing support when and where they need it.

We’re so grateful to the Taco Bell Foundation for their generous $15,000 grant supporting our Youth Essentials & Support (YES) initiative.

YES provides essential items and support to students in our local schools who are experiencing housing instability. From personal care items and clothing to food and other everyday necessities, these resources help young people feel supported and better prepared to focus on school and their future.

Thank you, Taco Bell Foundation, for helping us provide a little extra support to local youth when they need it most. We’re grateful to have you in our corner!
