Mutts & Misfits Our mission is to support every Mutt & Misfit we can through the rescue to adoption process.

This means taking the time to stop for the dogs who need us the most - the dogs who need additional medical care or help working through behavioral issues. This is a time consuming and expensive process, which is why these dogs often slip through the cracks and fall off the radar.

Meet Barley!

Barley is a handsome 2-year-old Lab mix who is mostly Lab in both looks and personality! He is smart, has some basic obedience under his belt, and loves toys and playing with other dogs!

Barley has shown some anxiety in the past, and we are taking the time to better understand what may be behind it. In the meantime, we are focusing on structure, socialization, continued learning, and helping him build confidence.

We are excited to continue to get to know this sweet boy and help him become the best version of himself!

Stay tuned for more of Barley’s journey with Mutts & Misfits!

Vet visit for Twist today. He has an abscessed a**l glad. Unfortunately, this requires anesthesia and some clean out. He’s not a fan of veterinarian visits. Thank goodness Riverview Animal Hospital gets his personality and is able to provide excellent care.

Meet Obe. He’s a really good boy with a couple of really big hurdles.

Obe struggles with severe kennel and separation anxiety, and right now those challenges are standing between him and his forever home.

Through training with A Dog’s Best Friend, Obe will work on building the confidence and independence he needs to better navigate life. We’ll also get the chance to learn more about him. What brings him fulfillment, what helps him feel successful and what balance looks like for Obe.

We know there is a great dog in there. He just needs some help getting there.

We’re raising funds for his Board & Train deposit, and every donation gets Obe one step closer.

Help us get Obe to training and closer to his forever home.

“Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”

Meet Obe! This sweet guy is struggling with severe separation anxiety, creating a big barrier to finding his forever home.

We have an opportunity to get him into a specialized Board & Train program with A Dog’s Best Friend, but we need your help with his deposit!

Every donation gets Obe one step closer to training and his forever family.

Please donate today using the link in our bio. If you can’t donate, sharing his story helps too!

Dog lovers, you’re our only hope!
