TOSS A TOY TOSS A TOY HAS BEEN HELPING THE KIDS IN NEED IN THE VAN WERT COMMUNITY AT FOR MANY YEARS. OUR COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE TOYS FOR TOTS. THIS IS OUR OWN LOCAL VERSION.

EVERY TOY COLLECTED OR BOUGHT GOES TO THE VW SALVATION ARMY FOR DISTRIBUTION!

14 years ago the National program Toys For Tots dumped Van Wert 3 week's before Christmas without explanation. 14 years ago we started our own Toy program that collects Toys here in Van Wert County TO REPLACE THEM!
TOSS A TOY collects Toys in Van Wert County then turns them over to the LOCAL VAN WERT SALVATION ARMY. The SA then disperses the gifts to families in Van Wert County that have indicated a need to them. TOSS A TOY's goal is Van Wert kids period. We teamed up with Ollie's 3 years ago when they came to Van Wert. What a wonderful group that works there! Thanks to all that donated,shopped or supported us wth kind words! One sidenote. I am competitive and will stand my ground for your and my community to keep things local. I am the furthest from a bully. Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you again, Eric McCracken

Optimist Club members donated gifts to TOSS A TOY. New, unwrapped toys help make Christmas a little brighter for local children. Coats, gloves, and hats are also welcome. Donations are distributed by Van Wert Salvation Army. The truck will be at Ollie's on Sunday Dec. 14. The last day for toy donations is Dec. 16 at Lee Kinstle Chevrolet GMC.
