Bridges Arts Council

Bridges Arts Council Provide advocacy for the arts and cultural organizations in Valley City and neighboring communities.

The Bridges Arts Council was founded in 1998 out of the 2nd Crossing Art Gallery in Valley City. It is to be a clearing house of information about area art related groups and artists as well as a forum to cooperate and collaborate for the mutual benefit of the arts (and humanities) in our region.

Dakota Pro Musica is bringing "Esther, the Beautiful Queen" to Valley City on Saturday, June 13th at 6:00 pm. The Performance will be at the Vangstad Auditorium at Valley City State University. A suggested donation of $20 is requested. The Barnes County Historical Society, Valley City State University Music Department, and the Bridges Arts Council sponsor this Performance.
There will be a brief, preconcert lecture by the author of "Brom Biblical Book to Musical Megahit: William B. Bradbury's 'Ester, the Beautiful Queen', Jaunita Karpf.
This Performance has been made possible by grants from the Leach Family Foundation, ND 250, North Dakota Council on the Arts, and the Dakota West Arts Council, and by the generous donations of several individuals.

Summer Afternoons in Pioneer Park returns Sunday, June 28th @ 5:30. We start off the Season with Singer Songwriter and Local Favorite, Joseph Demasi on the 28th. July 5th Jenny Lou Russi provides laughs with Stand Up Comedy, July 12th Fargo's Kilby Tangen performs acoustic music. July 19th it's the Kringen Accordion Band from Fargo, July 26ths is Singer / Songwriter Dennis Warner and we close out the season with the 12 String Guitar Jazz Duo on the August 2nd.
