Our Dad’s play a huge part in making our troop successful. They walk along side our boys and girls, young men and young women and make them better just by being there. They support, encourage, motivate and lend a hand when they need a shoulder to fall on. So today and every day we thank you Dad’s for pouring into our children, for demonstrating Christ’s love and for giving our kids the best example of what a father can be. Happy Father’s Day

Today our troop performed its first Board of Review for one of our American Heritage Girls. Kenzie is the first girl in Troop OH 1377 to achieve a level award. Kenzie worked very hard this year to earn her Harriet Tubman award for the Pioneer Level in one year. To receive this award girls must hold leadership roles, actively complete service hours, plan a troop activity for a minimum of 10 hrs of planning, complete 1 badge from each of the six frontiers, earn their faith award, attend AHG social events and meetings, camp, and create a recruitment article or video, visit another unit and participate in a board of review. Kenzie you have worked so hard this year! Congratulations.

The Buckeye Branch of the Medina County District Library will host Valley City historian and longtime keeper of Frog Jump statistics, Rod Knight on Monday, July 6. Rod will share insights into the history and traditions of this unique local event.

I love that we have so many adults pouring into our girls! Tonight Ms Tammy helped our girls work through their horticulture badge. We all left knowing so much more about plants and planting a productive garden. Each girl left with their own planter they planted as well as bulbs and a peach pit from an heirloom tree to plant at home.

What an amazing weekend our girls had at our very first campout! Our amazing team of leaders planned a fun filled weekend that the girls will be sure to remember. We bonded, sang songs, worked on badges, crafted, did community service at the campground, and did a beautiful flag retirement ceremony. The girls worked together so well and made memories to last a lifetime.
