Our summer meetings are only once a month and very casual but that does not mean we are not getting things done! Our Tenderhearts and Explorers spent the evening working on their search and rescue badge and the Pioneers and Patriots finished up their Horticulture badge by talking with a professional gardener and planting their own herbs and making something with herbs and vegetables in the kitchen. We are so excited for our new year that will begin in September! So many new faces and there is still room for more!

Heads up... Registration is currently OPEN, but our Trail Life troop is almost at capacity for the 2026/2027 program year.

For many Christian families, following Jesus means more than attending church or embracing a set of values—it means courageously changing the trajectory of an entire family tree. In this powerful episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, co-hosts Rachael Culpepper and Natalie Ambrose explore what it looks like to parent through a first-generation Gospel focus and trust God to break cycles of sin, dysfunction, and unhealthy patterns for the sake of future generations.

Boys need a place where it is safe to be a boy! A place where risk and adventure are ordinary and appropriate - a place where a boy's assertive, audacious, and adventurous nature is celebrated, not sequestered - a place where imagination can run wild and ideas don’t have to be explained and analyzed to be accepted and acted on. They need a place to explore God's creation and grow in their faith. That's what we do at Trail Life!

Today our troops celebrated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of our nation by marching in the annual Valley City Independence Day parade!

As citizens of the United States, we are grateful for the brave men who boldly declared a set of self-evident truths against an oppressive government and strove to form a “more perfect union.” On this day we are reminded that our rights are not derived from the governments of men but are inherently granted to us by our Creator. As St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans says, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. (Rom. 13:1 ESV)

As you celebrate 250 years of American independence, we pray that you may also celebrate the greater freedom found in Christ — the freedom to serve, to love, to listen and to walk humbly with God.

“Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth.” (Psalm 67:4 ESV)
