Looking to get involved? Here's a great opportunity to be a member of the Valley City Beautification Committee 🌳
Do you take pride in keeping Valley City beautiful? The Valley City Beautification Committee is looking for community members to help enhance parks, trails, boulevards, and public spaces. 🌷
Want to help but don’t feel you have much time? Don’t worry, volunteers are welcome to pick and choose the projects, activities, and dates that work best for their schedule and interests.
Opportunities may include:
• Boulevard planting, pruning, mulching, and watering
• Installing and removing tree stakes, protectors, and supports
• Cutting tree suckers and assisting with general tree care
• Planting, weeding, pruning, and maintaining the Hi-Line Prairie Gardens & Orchard and Monson Park & Trail
• Shrub pruning, litter and debris cleanup, and other beautification projects throughout the community
Over the past year and a half, committee members have identified projects, organized assistance, and helped to move beautification efforts forward.
Whether you have a green thumb, enjoy volunteering outdoors, or simply want to lend a hand when you’re available, we’d love to have you involved. The committee typically meets twice per year to evaluate and plan projects.
Interested in becoming a member? Contact Bobby Koepplin at 701-840-0250 for more information.
