Today, that changes.

Today, you don’t have to be the superhero. You don’t have to cook, clean, schedule, or solve. Today, we celebrate you – your heart, your sacrifices, your quiet strength.

You’ve poured love into everyone else. Now it’s your turn.

So please, be selfish. Sleep in. Eat the meal you love. Laugh until it hurts. Do absolutely nothing if that’s what you want. This day is yours, no permission needed.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom who needs permission to finally take a breath. You’ve earned it. 💐

Vallejo Chapter Group 5 Teens – STEM in Action at The Red Door! 🔬🧩⚙️

Forget ordinary team outings. Our teens stepped into The Red Door in Concord for a high-energy STEM experience that blended escape room logic, game show strategy, and real-time problem solving.

🧠 Educational – every lock, code, and challenge required science, tech, engineering, and math thinking
🤝 Team building – collaboration under pressure
🏆 Competitive fellowship – who made it to the Top 5? Fair game, all the way.

Look at our leaderboard: YOU make it to the TOP 5? From cracking patterns to racing the clock, our group proved that STEM isn't just textbook—it's an adrenaline rush. WE ESCAPED. And yes, a time was had by all.

Huge thanks to The Red Door for hosting an experience that made learning feel like a prime-time show. Our Greater Vallejo Chapter Group 5 teens brought intelligence, heart, and hustle. That's a win in any book.

✨ Greater Vallejo Chapter Attending Children’s Cluster at Chabot – An Unforgettable Adventure! ✨

What do you get when you mix curious kids, a real astronaut, a DJ, hands-on learning, great food, and a SLEEPOVER at the museum? Pure magic! 🌙🚀

Our children’s cluster trip to Chabot Space & Science Center was out of this world! The kids met an astronaut (yes, a real one! 👨‍🚀), danced with their crew to an awesome DJ, explored exciting educational activities, and enjoyed delicious food and nonstop fun.

But the most exciting part? Spending the night at the museum! From gazing at stars to sleeping under a rocket, our young leaders made memories that will last a lifetime.

This is what Jack and Jill is all about – enriching experiences that inspire, educate, and bring our community closer. Huge thanks to our amazing chaperones and Chabot for hosting us.

🌟 Celebrating the 33rd Annual Read-In: “Young, Black and Educated” 🌟

What an incredible afternoon! The Greater Vallejo Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. hosted a truly unforgettable Read-In on February 1st at the JFK Library. The Joseph Room was filled with joy, purpose, and powerful voices.

📖 Highlights from the day:

· A packed house of families, leaders, and young scholars – beautifully dressed in vibrant African attire (that e-vite came to life! 🙌🏾)
· Moving children’s speeches that left us inspired and hopeful for the future
· Amazing guest authors who shared their wisdom and stories
· A heartfelt book drive supporting Friends of the Vallejo Library – thank you for your generous donations!

Special thanks to our featured guest speaker Sarah Afford and to Monee’ Brown, MA, BS, AMFT – digital safety advocate, author of Cyberpimp! and Operation Don’t Chat Back – for reminding us how to protect and empower our children online.

🎉👶🏽 What a beautiful surprise!

Last Friday, our incredible Program Director, Monique, was showered with love, joy, and plenty of happy tears—thanks to our amazing VP Jacalyn and the Sunshine Committee for hosting a surprise baby shower she’ll never forget! 💕

There was laughter, delicious food, fun games, and most of all… sister-mom love at its finest. 🥹👭🏽🍼
