We want to update you on the progress of the CNY War Monument Restoration Campaign! 📣

We’re excited to share that the order has officially been placed and is now in production! The restoration is currently set to be completed in spring 2027.

The CNY War Monument is an important piece of Utica’s history, honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans. 🇺🇸

We’re so appreciative of everyone who has donated and contributed to this effort. We’re getting so close to our $20,000 goal! Donations are still welcome as we work to complete the restoration.

A little fall prep now means a beautiful burst of color come spring! 🌷

You may have noticed the monuments along the Parkway are looking a little bare. We're busy preparing the beds for next season by clearing weeds, refreshing the soil, and getting ready to plant tulip and daffodil bulbs.

GreenUtica is proud to keep the Parkway's monuments beautiful throughout the year, and we couldn't do it without the support of our community! 🤝

Native trees can help strengthen Utica’s urban tree canopy while providing shade, beauty, and food and habitat for local wildlife. 🐦

Did you know that fall can be a great time to plant, after trees go dormant and before the ground freezes? Remember, the right tree needs the right place. Consider mature size, sunlight, soil, and nearby buildings or utility lines.
