Puppy Jake service dog-in-training Miles had a great day at the Iowa State Fair. With crowds, noise, new sights, and plenty of distractions, the fair was a great opportunity for Miles to practice his skills in a busy, real-world environment. We’re so proud of this good boy and all the hard work he’s putting into his journey!

If you are interested in signing your pup up for the next session of Training Fundamentals 101, class starts Saturday, Sept. 12!

Training Fundamentals 101 is ideal for:
-Prospective volunteers

The 6th Annual Puppy Jake Classic is more than a day on the course. It’s an opportunity to help provide a military veteran with a professionally trained service dog and a lifetime of greater independence.

September is National Service Dog Month!

This month, Puppy Jake Foundation is celebrating the incredible service dogs who make a life-changing difference for the veterans they serve. From training and teamwork to the unbreakable bonds formed along the way, these dogs are true heroes.

We’re also celebrating the dedicated volunteers, trainers, foster families, and supporters who help make these partnerships possible.

Did You Nose Puppy Jake Foundation trains Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and occasionally German Shepherds. These three breeds are the right size for service dog work (not too big nor too small) and they are quite smart and easily trained. These dogs have wonderful temperaments and are loving and loyal.
