Hello again! Today A Park a Day cleaned up Walker Johnson park in Urbandale!

We collected about half a bag of trash while also cleaning off some picnic tables and benches.

Hello! Today A Park a Day cleaned up Shuler Park at Shuler Elementary!

We collected about half a bag of trash from the school and playground making the area much cleaner and more welcoming to the students of the school and the surrounding neighborhood.

I’m not sure what tomorrow’s cleanup will be but will definitely post when I figure it out.

Hello! Today A Park a Day conducted its 15th cleanup at the lake near Shuler elementary.

Most of the trash we picked up was from the side of the road but also from around the pond. In total we picked up about half a bag of trash.

This next week I am going to be very busy so our park cleanups may slow down but rest assured we will be back.

As always if you know of any areas that are in need of cleaning please comment below and I will go check them out. Also if you would to help out in the future please send me a message and I’ll get back to you.

Good evening, today A Park a Day conducted its 13th cleanup at deer ridge park in Urbandale.

We collected almost a half bag of trash from the park and the surrounding trails which brings our total up to nine bags of trash cleaned up.

Please if you know of any other spots that are in need of some cleaning let me know as I’m running out of ideas for cleanup spots.

Yesterday A Park a Day cleanup fox creek park in Waukee!

We collected a FULL bag of trash consisting of mostly snack wrappers and even a broken pickle ball racket.

Today’s cleanup is going to be at deer ridge park in Urbandale, but since this is a smaller park I plan to clean this one up by myself.

Today A Park a Day conducted a cleanup at Triumph Park in Waukee.

We collected a half bag of trash from around the park and the baseball fields. This park had lots of trash that was very difficult to pickup as it was very small but we persisted and still picked up as much as possible.

Tomorrow’s cleanup is going to be held at fox creek park at 3:00 if you want to come help out we will be meeting at the shelter.

Hello, yesterday A Park a Day conducted a cleanup at Canary park and the surrounding trails nearby.

Since there was a less then expected amount of trash at the park I walked around the local trails and ended up getting around a 1/4 bag of trash.

Today’s cleanup will be at Triumph park in Waukee at 3:30 if anyone is interested in helping out.

Good evening everyone, tonight A Park a Day cleaned up Stonegate park in Clive.
The park was very clean and while I didn't find too much trash I did find a note that I have attached for everyone to read. Happy marriage to William and Emilia!

Hello everyone, yesterday night A Park a Day completed another cleanup, helping to cleanup Barrett Boesen park in Urbandale.

This park was very clean however we still managed to pick up almost a half bag of trash. Additionally if anyone lost a pair of sandals and some sunglasses they are at the park.

Thank you so much to Waukee parks and recreation for organizing the centennial park cleanup this morning. We were able to clean up much of the trash left by last nights firework show and return the park to its natural state. This cleanup is very beneficial to the community and would always appreciate more help from the local community so if you have any interest on helping out next year please let me know or contact Waukee parks and recreation. Lastly, while volunteering to help cleanup is always appreciated, what’s more important is cleaning up after ourselves, volunteers are able to help cleanup small areas but by picking up after yourself, we can stop the trash from being an issue in the first place.
