Here we are folks! We celebrated our 4th World Clubfoot Day! What a journey we’ve been on. To say we’ve lived fearlessly as parents would be a total lie, however, to say the twins have lived fearlessly, that would be true. “Fearless Feet with Brave Hearts” is the perfect team name they’re representing.

If it weren’t for the twins, the world of Clubfoot would not have been part of our lives, and to be honest, that almost makes me sad. Do I wish this on anyone’s baby? Absolutely not! I will tell you that the support system, the medical team we’ve chosen, the family memories, the creativity, the insight, the relationships, the travel, the fundraisers, the smiles, the bracing, the casts (oh, the casts), the intentionality, the fellowship, the highs, the lows, the triumphs, the challenges, and everything in between have taught us, as parents, to enjoy the little things life with small children has to offer and to slow down.

Our journey to become parents wasn’t easy, our journey with our kids hasn’t been easy. We’ve questioned, we’ve debated, we’ve considered, we’ve doubted, we’ve cried, we’ve felt alone. These experiences also lead us to answers, peace, smiles, and the biggest damn support system we could have asked for. 🥹🥰

On this day, World Clubfoot Day, we remember the past, we are blessed in the present, and continue to be thankful for what’s to come.

🩷💚•👣•FEARLESS•👣•🩷💚

I haven’t posted in a while, so I figured I would give a quick update.

All is well, God is good.

The twins just had parent teacher conferences and the reports were really good. Cooper and Archer are thriving in preschool, and we are so thankful for their school.

Their little feet are growing and seem to be doing really well. We will be going back to FL in the summer and possibly a virtual visit in a month or so.

Both babes have figured out how to take their own boots off, so that’s been interesting to navigate that- especially Cooper who thinks it’s funny to take them off on her own throughout the night.

Will is growing and maturing everyday. For the most part he loves helping the babes and making sure they have what they need.

We made it home last night! Back to work and school today for everyone. We are still questioning why we left 65° and sunny to come back to freezing temps, however. *Added a picture for you all to admire while we wait for warmer days!*

Overall, a successful trip! Thank you to all that continue to support us in ALL the ways!

🩷💚👣F•E•A•R•L•E•S•S👣💚🩷 UPDATE:

Today, we had such a good visit with Dr. Dobbs, even a quick chat with Dr. Williams. He’s encouraged by the twins and where their feet are. There are some symmetry and strength differences, that will be fine over time, their range of motion and overall appearance were good, too. We will continue to wear boots and bar at night, stretch during the day, continue with PT, and allow them as much movement as possible to stay on the right track. We will be seen again in 3-4 months. We are not “in the clear” by any means, but we are pleased with where we are, especially in comparison to this time last year.

I can’t begin to say how much Dr. Dobbs has meant to our journey. His practice has always been top notch, and with the addition of Dr. Williams, I have no doubt the future of clubbed feet will continue to be in good hands. If you, or anyoneyou may know, is in need advice in lower extremeties, ready out to them!

Your prayers, support, gifts, and listening ears have all been amazing. We love our support system and know you all play a significant part in this journey as well! Much love to you all.

My apologies! I posted about travel concerns and never updated all our followers!

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. We got to Florida safely late last night.

We are supposed to fly out tomorrow for our appt next week. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers with the weather in IL and in a great portion of our anticipated flight path.

We are headed to see Dr. Dobbs again at the end of the month. We are hopeful for another good visit! Look for updates coming when we go!
