Sandal’s is approximately 6-years old. He’s friendly, good with everyone and healthy. His world changed when his owner suddenly passed away. No family or friend wanted to take care of him. When we took him in, he needed to be given a full medical - neuter, vaccinations, testing, microchip and a dental! He had been in a crate at a foster home because we had no other available fosters even though we posted looking. A shortage of fosters to help cats like Sandals puts high stress on a cat and rescue as does high medical costs. An application foster to adopt to see if the resident cat and Sandals would get along abruptly ended when the applicant fell and hurt her hip needing physical therapy ending his placement. Now Sandals has been in limbo for weeks since his dental surgery. If we adopted him without a dental, it would have fallen at the expense of him being in pain. Trying to help cats in need is self-sacrificing. Sandals needs a home where he will be cherished, cared for and loved because he’s been through enough. We are a small rescue just trying to help this cat in his middle age.
If you’d like to adopt, foster or donate, we will add information for you to support. Thank you.
