Yesterday, our agency was dispatched to 11 calls for service. All of these calls were in our primary district with some of the calls occurring simultaneously. We would like to thank our dedicated crews and our mutual aid partners who helped us cover all of the calls!

Pine Street in the Village of Deposit is closed to all traffic between Dean Street and Sunrise Terrace due to a tree down on the power lines blocking the road. NYSEG is responding.

⚠️Heat Advisory issued June 11 at 12:18AM EDT until June 11 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Binghamton NY⚠️

🔸What: Heat index values of 95 to 100 expected.
🔸Where: Broome, Chemung, Onondaga, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates Counties.
🔸When: From noon today to 8 PM EDT this evening.
🔸Impacts: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
🔸Additional Details: The hottest conditions will be in urban valley areas, where heat index values will climb above 95 degrees this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms could provide relief from the heat during the late afternoon and evening.
🔸Instructions: To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Last Thursday, we welcomed E.M.S. Coordinator Tinklepaugh into our Deposit Station for a county organized training. EMS Providers from the Deposit Fire Department, Town of Hancock Ambulance and our agency all participated in this training to further their medical knowledge.

Today we will be drawing our winning tickets for our Cash Raffle Fundraiser! The drawing is tentatively scheduled for 5 PM as long as our agency leadership isn’t tied up on emergency calls. We will be drawing the tickets at our East Station in Deposit and be on Facebook Live!
