Thank you to everyone who joined us for Lean on Pete at IU Cinema! 🐴🎬

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the evening so meaningful. A special thank you to Christine McAfee, juvenile probation division supervisor for the Monroe Circuit Court and a coordinator for the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) for sharing her insights and perspectives following the film.

Together, we engaged in a deep and thoughtful conversation about resilience, connection, community, and the unique bond between people and horses. It was inspiring to hear different reflections on the film and explore its themes in such a welcoming and engaging environment.

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at future events in the Making Strides: Horses, Healing, and Community series! 💙

Please send a congratulatory note to Chris Herring for celebrating her fifth anniversary serving as PALS' Executive Director. From responding to the aftermath of the pandemic, developing and enhancing our equine-assisted programs and services, to restoring our campus from last year's devastating tornado, Chris has led our team and herd with grace, passion, humility, and perseverance. From PALS' Board, staff, clients, volunteers, and herd (one of PALS' new horses, Rook, pictured), CONGRATULATIONS and we love you, Chris! 🤎💛🐴

Exciting things are happening at PALS! 💙🐴 We recently welcomed a new lift that will help our clients safely and comfortably mount their horses. We are incredibly grateful to the Eagles Lodge for donating the funds for this lift!

Right now, our staff is learning the ins and outs of the equipment, and soon our amazing therapy horses will begin getting familiar with it, too. We can't wait to put this wonderful new resource to work and continue making our programs accessible for everyone! ✨

Sometimes a simple visit can brighten an entire day! 🐴💛 Nemo stopped by Melissa's office to check in on one of his favorite people. As our Program Director, Melissa works tirelessly behind the scenes to support our participants, volunteers, staff, and horses. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and all she does to make PALS such a special place. And judging by this visit, Nemo is pretty appreciative too! 🥰✨
