BLAST FROM THE PAST….

This video is from several years ago, but Jeremy Harwood’s message is just as meaningful today.

Jeremy’s brother, Corporal Jason Harwood, was killed in the line of duty on September 7, 2014. What we learned afterward made Jason’s connection to the United States Honor Flag extraordinary.

Years earlier, as an Honor Guard member, Jason had personally carried the U.S. Honor Flag while honoring two fallen Topeka police officers. He would later become the first law enforcement officer in the nation to have carried the Honor Flag for fallen heroes and then be honored by that same flag.

Today, his legacy lives on through HarwoodONE, the protective case that safeguards the United States Honor Flag.

Jeremy has become a close friend and continues his own service in Kansas law enforcement.

So today, on September 11, we’re sharing his message again.

We’re asking for just $9.11.

If this mission means something to you, please donate $9.11, challenge someone else to do the same, and help us continue honoring America’s fallen heroes.

Every $9.11 matters. Every share matters. Every person who answers the call keeps this mission moving.

Honor. Educate. Inspire.

One flag. One nation. All heroes.

Give $9.11. Challenge someone. Share the mission.

Every $9.11 helps us continue carrying the United States Honor Flag and honoring America’s fallen heroes.

🇺🇸 WE’RE STARTING TO BUILD OUR 2027 CORE TEAM

Something big is taking shape for The Honor Network and the United States Honor Flag in 2027.

Actually, several things.

Next year is shaping up to include major national events, Honor Flag missions, community engagements, and an extended period of travel across America.

And one project in particular has us very excited:

A 10-CITY NATIONAL TOUR with an amazing new national corporate sponsor.

We’re keeping the identity of the partner and most of the details under wraps for now, but here’s one hint:

This is not an RV manufacturer, dealership, supplier, or traditional RV-industry vendor.

It is, however, a major national brand with a very natural connection to Americans traveling the open road.

The tour will bring together RVs, first responders, veterans, families, communities, and the United States Honor Flag at locations across the country.

And now we need to start building the people side of it.

We’re looking for a small group of 2027 Core Volunteers who may want to travel with us, help operate events, solve problems, coordinate logistics, meet people, move equipment, represent the mission, and occasionally help us figure out what exactly we were thinking when we came up with all of this.

We’re especially interested in individuals or couples who are:

• Retired or have significant flexibility to travel
• Comfortable being on the road for extended periods
• RVers or experienced road travelers
• Full-time RVers are especially loved. You already understand that “home” is wherever you remembered to put the leveling blocks.
• Dependable, adaptable, organized, friendly, and comfortable jumping in wherever needed
• Interested in helping us build something from the ground up
• Available for portions of 2027, several stops, or possibly a much larger part of the journey

We will likely develop multiple Core Volunteer Teams in different parts of the country, because this mission is getting bigger than any one group can cover.

But if we could find a few people or couples who wanted to travel with us from stop to stop and become part of the same traveling core team?

That would be pretty incredible.

The areas we expect to be particularly important for 2027 include:

Texas • Oklahoma • Kansas • Nebraska • South Dakota • Iowa • Missouri • Illinois • Colorado • Utah • Arizona • Idaho • Oregon • Washington • Georgia • Alabama

If you live in or around one of those states, you may be sitting right in the middle of where we’ll need help.

This is still volunteer service, and nobody should expect to retire twice because of us.

However, for selected Core Volunteers participating directly in tour operations, some mission-related expenses may be provided, including fuel and other approved travel support where appropriate.

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who understand that this isn’t really about driving around the country.

It’s about what happens when we get there.

Meeting families.

Honoring heroes.

Working beside first responders.

Bringing communities together.

Carrying the United States Honor Flag into places and moments that matter.

And helping build something we intend to keep growing for years to come.

We’re not looking for hundreds of people.

We’re looking for a small number of dependable people we can start getting to know, planning with, laughing with, trusting, and eventually looking across a parking lot at after 14 hours and saying:

“Well… that somehow worked.”

There is no commitment at this stage.

If you read this and think:

“I could see us doing this.”

Send us a private message.

Tell us a little about yourself, where you live, whether you’d travel individually or as a couple, your RV or road-travel experience, special skills you might bring, and what your availability could look like during 2027.

Something remarkable is being built.

Before we build the road, we’re building the team.

🇺🇸 LINE OF DUTY DEATH

HONORING THE SACRIFICE OF FIREFIGHTER JOE FLAKE

Firefighter Joe Flake
Wellston Fire Department | Oklahoma
End of Watch: September 7, 2026

The Honor Network and United States Honor Flag extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow firefighters of Firefighter Joe Flake.

Firefighter Flake suffered a medical emergency while assisting crews battling a large grass fire in Lincoln County near Carney, Oklahoma. He was transported to the hospital, where he passed away later that evening.

Firefighter Flake had joined the Wellston Fire Department approximately four months earlier after retiring from a career as a truck driver and choosing to continue serving his community.

We honor his service. We remember his sacrifice. We will not forget.

$9.11 HONOR CHALLENGE

25 Years Later, The Mission Continues.

On September 11, 2001, America changed forever.

From the aftermath of that day came a flag, and eventually a mission that would carry the United States Honor Flag millions of miles across America and around the world, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, the flag is still moving.

Because September 11th wasn’t the end of the story.

It was the beginning of a promise.

A promise that when another family receives that knock at the door…

When another firefighter doesn’t come home…

When another law enforcement officer makes a final radio call…

When another member of our Armed Forces gives everything…

America will remember.

And the United States Honor Flag will answer.

This September, we’re asking you for just $9.11.

Not $100.

Not $50.

$9.11.

One small donation representing one enormous moment in American history.

Then do something equally important:

Challenge someone else to give $9.11.

Pass the challenge to a friend. A coworker. A veteran. A firefighter. A police officer. A family member.

Because imagine what happens when one American hands remembrance to another.

$9.11 becomes more than a donation.

It becomes a declaration:

I remember.
I honor.
I will help carry the mission forward.

This campaign isn’t about dwelling on tragedy.

It’s about what survived it.

Freedom.
Honor.
Integrity.
Courage.
Service.
The American idea.

Twenty-five years later, there will still be calls for help.

There will still be heroes.

There will still be sacrifice.

And there must always be people willing to answer.

🇺🇸 TAKE THE $9.11 HONOR CHALLENGE

Donate $9.11.

Challenge someone else to do the same.

Share this message and keep the chain moving.

Twenty-five years ago, America promised:

WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Today, we have an opportunity to prove we meant it.

$9.11. One small act. One continuing mission.

As long as there is a hero to honor…

There will be a flag.
There will be a mission.
And we will answer.

HONOR WITH ACTION.
