Childhelp Indian Wells Chapter The Childhelp Indian Wells Chapter hosts an annual invitational golf tournament at Porcupine Creek, the private residence and golf course of Larry Ellison.

The Indian Wells Chapter is a dedicated and active group of volunteers that supports Childhelp and its programs in the greater Coachella Valley through fundraising events and initiatives. The Childhelp Indian Wells Chapter strives to raise awareness and financial support for Childhelp's programs that impact children in the Coachella Valley region. These programs include:

-The Childhelp Merv Griff

in Village in Beaumont, CA, which provides specialized, comprehensive treatment programs for severely abused, neglected and at-risk children in a residential treatment setting.

-Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe, a research-based, evidence informed and developmentally appropriate child abuse and bullying prevention education curriculum for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

-The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, a 24/7 helpline available 24/7/365 via call, text and online chat at 1-800-4-A-CHILD and ChildhelpHotline.org. The Hotline is staffed by professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide assistance in over 170 languages.

-Childhelp Foster Family & Adoption Programs, which have connected loving families with children throughout Southern California for over 20 years.

-Childhelp's Special Friend Program, a mentorship program that matches chapter members with a child currently receiving services at the Childhelp Merv Griffin Village. The event is co-hosted by Childhelp Celebrity Ambassadors Cheryl Ladd and John O'Hurley and is limited to 36 players. Please consider joining our local Childhelp Indian Wells Chapter or making a donation to support our programs!

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. This is more than awareness—it’s a call to action. We’re proud to stand with our Chapter, working to bring Childhelp’s Speak Up & Be Safe program into schools and youth organizations across the Coachella Valley.

Child abuse prevention takes more than good intentions—it takes education, advocacy, and a community willing to step up. We all have a role to play. We all have a voice. Let’s use it. Learn more: https://childhelp.org/speakupbesafe/

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

This month is a reminder that protecting children is not just a responsibility — it’s something we can all take part in.
In the United States, approximately 1,820 children die each year from abuse and neglect. Behind every number is a child who deserved safety, support, and a chance to thrive.

The reality is, abuse often goes unseen and unspoken. But prevention starts with awareness and with people who are willing to notice, listen, and act.

You can make a difference.

If you suspect a child may be at risk, don’t stay silent. Reach out to Childhelp’s National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) or visit childhelphotline.org. It’s free, confidential, and available 24/7.

One call. One action. One moment of courage could change a child’s life forever. 💙

Every dot is a child who reached out for help. This fiscal year, Childhelp has answered an average of 9,049 contacts every single month. Behind each one is a child, a caregiver, or a concerned adult choosing to speak up. Thanks to you, none of them had to face it alone. ❤️

If you or someone you know needs support, help is always available. Call or text the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) to connect with trained, caring professionals 24 hours a day. Saving one child starts with one call.
