The 2026 Voice AI Symposium, organized by , just wrapped up, and what an energizing two days it was. Dysphonia International was proud to be a sponsor, with Board Member Sue Payne (top photo) and Executive Director Kimberly Kuman representing the organization.

Hosted by Dr. Yaël Bensoussan (bottom photo), the symposium has become an internationally-recognized event and one of the only conferences focused solely on the research, development, and implementation of voice biomarkers to improve healthcare.

Its intentionally intimate format sparks real connection and collaboration. This year’s event brought together innovators, researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and patient groups for a dynamic experience at the forefront of voice and AI in healthcare.

We’re proud to support this work and to be part of a community pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in voice and health. Congratulations on another outstanding symposium!

During National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who help bring our mission to life. Across communities, they create connection, offer support, and help raise awareness of voice disorders—making a meaningful difference for so many.

To our volunteers: we are grateful for the time, care, and dedication you give each day. A special shout-out to Mary Bifaro, our Support Network Director, for her guidance and the leadership she brings to this community.

On World Book Day, we’re celebrating the voices behind the stories. From Dot Sowerby ("Speechless" and "Speechless No More") and Karen Feeley ("Easier Done Than Said: Living with a Broken Voice"), to the contributors of "Celebrating Our Voice" and our earlier publications—and so many others in our community—thank you for sharing your experiences through writing.

Your stories connect, inspire, and remind others that they are not alone.

We celebrate the power of voice—how it connects us, expresses who we are, and carries our stories into the world. For those living with voice conditions, that connection can feel different, but every voice still matters.
As we continue beyond World Voice Day, we’re sharing voices through haiku—a simple, powerful way to express what voice means to you. Send yours to [email protected] and be part of it.

Even after World Voice Day, the conversation continues. Voice connects us, reflects who we are, and carries our stories forward. For those living with voice conditions, that experience can feel different.
We’re continuing to share voices through haiku—a simple, meaningful way to express what voice means to you. Send yours to [email protected] and be part of the collection.
