Everyone deserves a place to call home.

This year's National Supportive Housing Week, we are thinking about what those words really mean. For someone who has spent years without a safe place to sleep, home is more than four walls and a door that locks. It is the first full night of rest in longer than they can remember. It is the quiet dignity of having somewhere to belong.

For more than 41 years, Tender Mercies has walked alongside some of the most vulnerable members of our community, offering not just housing but the support that helps people heal and rebuild from homelessness. Recovery does not happen overnight, and no one should have to do it alone.

A little help goes a long way. ❤️

A special shoutout to the Duke Energy crews who came to assist our region during last week’s storms. While they were here helping our community get back on its feet, they also took the time to give back to our residents—donating new towels and bedding to Tender Mercies.

We are so grateful for your kindness, generosity and care for our residents.

Thank YOU, Duke Energy! 🙌

A big thank you to the volunteer group from Grace Harbor who came out to Harkavy Hall and gave the space a fresh coat of paint! Their time and hard work made a real difference for our residents, and it's exactly the kind of support that helps us carry out our mission every day.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Tender Mercies. Whether it's painting a hallway or lending a hand at an event, every bit of help moves us closer to ending homelessness in Cincinnati, one person at a time.

Thank you, Grace Harbor, for showing up and showing you care!

🎆 This Fourth of July, while most folks were firing up the grill, a group of dedicated volunteers from BLD Cincinnati/Dayton Covenant Community spent their holiday with our residents — serving meals, sharing conversation, and making sure no one celebrated alone.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Tender Mercies' mission. Every meal served and every moment of connection helps us provide not just housing, but true community for the people we serve.

Thank you to our July 4th volunteers for showing up when it mattered most. 🙌
