Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility. They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible. They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it. Blood Cancer United was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers....

I’m reaching out about a Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center event I’m supporting called Cycle for Survival. 100% of every dollar donated supports innovative rare cancer research at MSK. If you’re able to donate, it would mean so much to me and to everyone impacted by rare cancers. Here’s the link to donate:

Besides the day my daughter passed away at age 14, Rachel’s diagnosis day, 12/21/16, was the worst day of our lives. Soon after her passing, I attended Onsite’s “Life after Loss” program. There I learned how to move through NOT move on after losing my beautiful daughter to cancer. I also learned grief is not a straight line. It has been 7 years since Rachel passed away and I can say this year has been one of the hardest living without her. Please join me in helping Rachel’s friend, Allison, reach her goal to be able to participate in Penn State’s THON! I am so happy Anthony chose a school that has the largest college fundraiser for pediatric cancer patients! Allison and her friend Quinn are just shy $2k from their $20k requirement to participate and dance their hearts out for Rachel and all the children we lost too soon from cancer. Any amount helps. Keep Rachel’s fight going so that one day we will find a cure.🧡🎗️💪

Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON™. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleepin...

Rachel’s Story

Rachel Antorino was a twelve-year-old seventh grade student at Commack Middle School in Commack, NY, when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a very aggressive and rare type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes an abnormal amount of blood cells. People started calling her “RachelStrong” because she showed so much strength and courage throughout her 20 months of treatment. She passed away at MSKCC on August 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Rachel loved life, her family and friends. She laughed a lot and had a passion for dance and summer camp. Rachel will always be remembered for her contagious smile and enthusiastic spirit. She inspired all who met her to stay positive and live life to the fullest.

Rachel’s Dance for the Cure Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established on October 5, 2018. It was created in Rachel’s honor to raise awareness for pediatric cancer, help fund research for AML, and to financially assist families who have been impacted by this horrific disease.
